My Journey My life before foster care is mostly unknown. I did spend time in a home with dogs and children, but it was very loud and overwhelming for me, and I shut down in that environment. In a calmer space, I’m able to decompress, feel secure, and slowly let my true personality shine.
My Social Life My brother Luke is my safe place. I follow him everywhere and need to be touching him when I sleep — his presence helps me feel brave and grounded. Because of how closely bonded we are, I would need to be adopted with him. Dogs and children are not a good fit for me, as they increase my anxiety. In a quiet, adult home with predictable routines, I can take my time warming up and learning that I’m safe.
My Personality I’m cuddly, cautious, and very food-motivated. I may be reserved at first, but I’m always observing. With patience and consistency (and a few treats), I slowly open up and show my affectionate side. Once trust is built, I become incredibly attached to my people.
I Enjoy… Watching birds from a sunny window Churu tubes (the fastest way to my heart) Cozy naps on a heated blanket Quiet moments spent relaxing near my favorite beings
I’m Not a Fan Of… Children, dogs, sudden loud noises, or chaotic environments. Calm, gentle energy helps me feel secure and confident.
What Makes Me Special Once I decide you’re safe, I turn into a total Velcro cat. Just like with my brother, I’ll glue myself to you — curling up close, cuddling often, and soaking up as much quiet affection as possible.
My Perfect Home I’m looking for a peaceful, consistent home where I can stay with my brother Luke. I’m not especially play-driven — I prefer relaxation, warmth, and companionship. With patience and understanding, I’ll reward you with deep loyalty, constant cuddles, and a heart full of trust.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
