My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Gazpacho and here is a little more about me :

My Journey
I was rescued with my siblings from a colony in Riverside and given the chance to grow up safe, loved, and indoors. Since then, I’ve fully embraced the good life — and I plan to enjoy every second of it!

My Social Life
Other cats ? I’m great with other cats and truly enjoy having feline friends around.
Dogs ? Kids ? I haven’t met dogs or children yet, but with my outgoing and adaptable personality, I’d likely adjust well with proper introductions. I’m a social guy who likes being part of whatever’s going on.

My Personality
Outgoing, chatty, and confident.
I’m the kind of kitten who walks into a room like I own it (in the most charming way possible). I love attention, enjoy conversation, and have a big personality packed into a small, adorable body. I’m smart, expressive, and always ready to participate in whatever you’re doing.

I Enjoy…
Wand toys — especially the Go Cat “Da Ball” (my absolute favorite!)
Getting so excited during play that I sometimes growl at my toy — it’s serious business
Chatting back and forth with my humans
Racing to the right spot at mealtime (I know the routine!)
Turning any item left on the floor into a toy
Snuggling up for a cuddle session when the mood strikes
I’m docile and easy to handle — no diva behavior here!

I’m Not a Fan Of…
Honestly? Not much! I’m a pretty easygoing guy.

What Makes Me Special
I have a magnetic personality that draws everyone in. I love being the center of attention — and I absolutely deserve it. My confidence and charm make me unforgettable.

My Perfect Home
I would do great in almost any home environment. I’d especially love to have another playful cat or kitten around — maybe one of my sisters (we still love to snuggle!). I thrive on interaction, playtime, and companionship, so a home ready to engage with my big personality would be ideal.

Young kittens are adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
