My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Iris and here is a little more about me :

My Journey
I came into care through the FCC community cat program, where I began my journey toward a safe and cozy indoor life. I’m still discovering all the fun and comfort that comes with being indoors, and I’m loving every moment of it.

My Social Life
I love playing with my sister and would be happiest with another feline friend—especially her! I’m very curious about the world outside and enjoy watching everything that moves. I adore humans, but I’d much rather play than be held for long periods. There’s too much fun to be had!

My Personality
Goofy, energetic, and endlessly curious. I love being silly with my sister and am always on the prowl for my next “attack.” I bring lots of playful kitten energy and keep things entertaining wherever I go.

I Enjoy…
Wrestling and roughhousing with my sister
Chasing my own tail like it’s the ultimate challenge
Pouncing, stalking, and practicing my ninja moves
Watching the world and plotting my next adventure

I’m Not a Fan Of…
Nothing notable yet—I’m far too busy having fun!

What Makes Me Special
I have a tiny little balding spot on my head that peeks through my sleek black coat, giving me a unique look and a whole lot of character.

My Perfect Home
I need a home with another playful cat, preferably my sister, where I can burn off my energy and continue being my silly, adventurous self. A home that loves active play and kitten antics would be perfect for me.

Young kittens are adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
