My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear! 🐻 This incredibly fluffy 2-year-old, around 50 pounds, is the most huggable sweetheart you'll ever encounter. 🥰 He's a smart and eager learner 🧠, working hard on commands like sit, stay, lay, and paw, and he responds well to gentle correction. 👍 Bear is potty 🚽 and crate trained 📦, and his crate is his sanctuary for both naps 😴 and nighttime sleep. 🌙 He's a self-soother with his favorite toys 🧸 and is a master of the perfect balance between playful energy 🎾 and relaxed lounging. 🛋️

Bear thrives with an active family 🏃‍♀️ who will ensure he gets his daily walks 🚶‍♂️, as he's a curious boy who loves to explore 🗺️ and will happily follow you everywhere. He's also a big lover ❤️ who craves human attention 🤗, though he's also respectful of your space. 🤫 He's a calm soul 🧘 who just wants to be shown that it's okay to be himself and let loose. 🥳 He also does great in the car making him the best travel buddy! 🚗 Bear is a beautiful dog 🐶 with a beautiful personality, ready to shower his forever family with love and maybe a few enthusiastic hugs! 🥰

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Visit https://operationfreedomride.com/ and click "available pets" to see who is available for adoption.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
