My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everett is a gentle, sensitive soul who is looking for a calm and understanding home to call his own. He was sadly returned to the shelter due to his owner moving and having to travel a long distance—something that is especially hard for Everett, as he does not do well with long travel or big changes. By nature, he is a very shy boy who can be startled by loud noises and may even run when someone first comes through the door, needing a little time to realize he’s safe. He warms up gradually to new people and truly thrives in a quiet, stable environment where he can relax and be his calm, independent self. Everett has never lived with kids, cats, or dogs and thrives in a peaceful home without a lot of activity. While he may be reserved, he absolutely loves wand toys and batting around little balls once he feels comfortable. The shelter has been overwhelming for this shy guy, and he’s hoping for a patient adopter who can give him the quiet, loving space he needs to blossom.
