Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
I lived with children in my previous home.
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.
Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!
I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Onyx Blaster was curled up at the back of the top cubby with a neutral body and eyes. He sniffs treats offered and lowers his head when pet. He turns his head to the side and leans in for cheek rubs. When stroking his body, he looks back at the assessor's hand to sniff, then lip licks and walks in a circle. While in this motion, the assessor reaches around his body and gently pulls him forward. During pick up, he is calm but tenses up, while resting his front limbs on the assessor's arm, allows petting all over when held for 5 seconds, and then walks out of the assessor's arms. After returning into the cubby, he curls up at the back and continues to tolerate more petting and cheek rubs.
