Introducing Chanel

This little Shih Tzu–Pomeranian mix is brand new to our rescue, and we’re already smitten! Chanel is a bit shy at first, but her sweetness shines through in the softest ways — a wag of her tail, a curious glance, and that adorable little face that melts hearts instantly.

She’s met the other dogs and cats in her foster home and didn’t seem to mind them one bit. She’s not quite ready to join in on playtime yet, but she’s quietly taking it all in. (And bonus points: she’s been using her weeâ€‘wee pads like a pro! )

We’re still getting to know this precious girl, but she’s already showing us that gentle, happy spirit just waiting to bloom.

Stay tuned as we learn more about our sweet Chanel — she’s going to make someone very, very lucky.

She will be up to date on vaccines. Wag On Inn will arrange for neuter at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. His adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
