Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Templeton was hiding in the den crouched down with his tail wrapped around his body and his head and ears forward, focused on the assessor with a neutral body and eyes. He ignores treats offered by hand and tenses up when pet. He tolerates touch on his head, cheeks, and body but does not engage with the attention. When reaching around his body or applying gentle upward pressure on his side and chest, lifting him up to the ceiling of the den, he remains tense and stands his ground. After placing him back down, he continues to tolerate more petting and cheek rubs but remains alert and stiff.
