Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Atom was hiding in the den lying down in loaf position with a neutral body and wide eyes. He sniffs treats offered by hand and allows petting on the head and cheeks, remaining calm and lowering his head down. When reaching under his body and applying gentle upward pressure on his side and chest, lifting him up to the ceiling of the den, he tenses up and stands his ground. After placing him back down, he lip licks, crouches down, wraps his tail around his body, and continues to tolerate more petting and cheek rubs.
