My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crispy Crunch is a orange tabby domestic shorthair male who is almost 2 years old.

Meet Crispy Crunch! Crispy Crunch is such a sweet boy, especially once he feels safe and comfortable with you. He can be a little unsure in new situations at first. He just needs a bit of time to take everything in. When he realizes he is safe, that is when his real personality starts to shine.

He can be talkative with his people and has the cutest little meow. It is soft but expressive, and he will often answer back when you speak to him like he is trying to keep the conversation going. Once he trusts you, he really enjoys that connection and likes knowing you are paying attention to him.

He absolutely loves being petted. The moment you find his favourite spots, he will start making little biscuits. If you keep petting him, he will roll around under your hand, stretching out and leaning into you so you cannot possibly miss him. He does not hold back once he is comfortable.

Brushing is another one of his favorite things. He will happily roll over with his belly up in the brushing area, completely relaxed and enjoying the attention like it is his personal spa time.

Tube treats are definitely the way to his heart. The second he sees one, he lights up and is ready to be your best friend.

Crispy Crunch will need a patient owner who understands that adjusting to a new environment can take time. He would do best with someone who is willing to move at his pace and let him build confidence gradually. When he does settle in, he becomes an affectionate, loyal companion who loves being close to his people and soaking up all the love he can get.

Crispy Crunch would likely do well with other cats and dogs with a proper slow introduction.

Crispy Crunch is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. He is FIV and FeLV negative and on parasite preventions. His adoption fee is $300. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
