My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Banana Split is a tortie domestic shorthair female who is almost 2 years old.

Meet Banana Split! Banana Split is just as sweet as her name suggests. Her little face is split, half orange and half black, which just makes her cuter!

She absolutely loves affection. If you start petting her, especially behind her ears or along her cheeks, she leans right into it and will often roll into your hand like she is asking for more. She does not just accept pets, she fully commits to them. She will tilt her head, press her face into you, and sometimes roll onto her side so you cannot possibly stop.

Banana Split adores her tube treats and knows exactly what they are when she sees one. She also has a playful side and will happily roll around in her catnip, completely content and proud of herself. She enjoys being close to her people and would love a home where she can soak up attention and be included in daily life.

She may need a little time to adjust to a new environment. Once she settles in, she is affectionate, loving, and happiest when she is near her human friends, whether that means snuggled up beside you on the couch or simply resting close by. Banana Split is the kind of cat who bonds deeply and just wants a cozy place to call her own.

Banana Split would likely do well with other cats and dogs with a proper slow introduction.

Banana Split is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. She is FIV and FeLV negative and on parasite preventions. Her adoption fee is $300. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
