My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Muci. I came to the shelter after my owner sadly passed away, and because of that, there isn’t much known about my past. What I can tell you is that I’m a curious girl who’s still figuring things out. New situations make me a little unsure, but I do like to observe and take everything in at my own pace. I’m much more interested in people than I am in other cats. In fact, I’m not a big fan of bold, extroverted feline neighbours — I’ll let them know with a hiss if they get too close! I have a bit of a sassy streak, but it’s just my way of setting boundaries. Once I’m comfortable, I enjoy lickable treats (those are definitely the way to my heart!), wand toys, and a few gentle pets. I’m not over-the-top affectionate right away, but I do appreciate attention when it’s on my terms. I’m looking for a cat-savvy owner who understands feline body language and will respect my cues. If you’re patient, observant, and willing to let me blossom in my own time, I think we could be a wonderful match

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City.
