My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper – The Perfect Balance 🎀🐾

Piper is that just-right kind of kitten — not too bold, not too shy — the perfect middle-of-the-road girl who settles in beautifully once she knows she’s safe.

She has a great appetite (growing girls have important work to do!) and a healthy curiosity about the world around her. Piper enjoys pets and affection, happily soaking up attention, but if given the choice… playtime wins every time. Toys, movement, a little friendly chase — that’s her love language.

She’s playful without being overwhelming, sweet without being clingy, and adaptable enough to fit into many different types of homes. Piper would thrive with a family who appreciates a kitten that can entertain herself, join in the fun, and then settle in for some gentle affection.

If you’re looking for a well-rounded, happy little companion with just the right mix of sweetness and spunk, Piper is your girl. 🩷🐾

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
