My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Penelope: The Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold

If you’re looking for a companion who is grounded, affectionate, and perfectly chilled out, meet Penelope. This 7-year-old black and brown tabby is a master of the `slow and steady` approach to friendship—and trust us, she is worth the wait.

She is a total lover. She has a gentle, understated confidence and prefers to observe a room before making her move. Once she settles in, Penelope is all about the affection. She loves being petted and will happily lean into your hand for some quality chin scratches.

At 7 years old, she’s past the `climbing the curtains` phase. She’s looking for a cozy spot to nap and a human to share a quiet evening with.

Coming from a stray background, Penelope knows how to appreciate the good life. While she isn’t overly shy, she appreciates a respectful introduction. She likes to get to know her humans at her own pace, making that first purr feel like a true reward.

Our adoption counselors are Penelope`s biggest fans! Because she spent time as a stray, they are happy to guide you through the best way to introduce her to your home to make sure she feels like the queen of the castle right away.

Ready to meet this tabby beauty?

Penelope is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

If you have any questions about Penelope, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!
