Calling all Shepherd lovers - we might have your dream dog! 7 month old Barry just arrived from one of our partner rescues in Alabama, who in turn rescued Barry from the over-crowded and under-resourced city shelter in Birmingham.
To say we love Barry would be an understatement. This darling boy is everything we love: curious, social, and ADORABLE! An added bonus is that Barry has the softest and downiest coat we have felt in a while. He feels like a baby duckling! Petting him is like sensory therapy.
Barry loves other dogs, gets along well with cats, and of course, connects wonderfully with people. He has learned some basic commands already and will proudly show off his sit, and is very patient as he waits for his reward. If you forget to give him one, he may come gently nudge your hand with his nose as a reminder that he does, indeed, love his treats.
Barry is on a great path to growing into an adult dog who would love to be a part of your family. Please come see him at Heartland!
Barry's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
