Meet Gunther - Patron Saint of "Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover.
Gunther looks like he just woke up. Or was dumpster diving. Or just wrapped filming a gritty documentary titled: "Back Alley Survivors: The Cat Years." His fur is a little rough around the edges, and we can't say for certain he didn't come from triumphantly overthrowing the Raccoon King of Central New Jersey.
But here's the plot twist: beneath Gunther's rugged exterior is an absolute sweetheart of a cat.
Gunther is incredibly friendly, wildly playful, and a full time professional flopper. See a human? Flop. Hear a voice? Flop. Make eye contact from across the room? You guessed it. He rolls around for pets like he's auditioning for a commercial called "Cats Who Cannot Contain Their Joy."
He loves attention. He loves toys. He loves dressing up like a big tough street cat before immediately and dramatically collapsing into a puddle of affection.
Gunther may look like he's been through a few chapters, but he's ready to start the very best one: lounging in a home, charming everyone he meets, and falling over for belly rubs like the lovable goof he truly is.
If you're ever wanted a cat with the appearance of a retired alleyway boxer and the personality of a golden retriever, Gunther is your guy.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters. For more information please call SAVE at 609-309-5214.
