Anderson Humane is not responsible for any unsuccessful adoptions. Freya is looking for a loving forever home! I am relocating overseas and unfortunately cannot take her. I am looking for a patient, experienced cat lover to welcome Freya into their home. She would do best in a quiet home with no children and no other pets. Freya is 6 years old (DOB 12/30/19), spayed female. She was adopted March 2020 at 8 weeks old. She is a "Covid Kitty," adopted the week before Lockdown started so she didn't have much socialization. Freya has anxious tendencies and can take a while to warm up to people. Once she understands that she can trust you, she will be extremely affectionate, playful, and snuggly. She likes to be held and cuddled, but it needs to be on her own terms. We call her a princess as she can be a bit sassy. She prefers to have the choice to climb on you while you're relaxing rather than be picked up without warning. She has been known to gently bite or swat at guests who pick her up out of nowhere. Freya is great in the car and I have taken her on several road trips. She might even jump into your car in the driveway just to play in it! However she does get very stressed at the vet’s office and can be aggressive so she needs anti-anxiety medication administered before vet trips. She has sometimes needed sedation at the vet's office so new owners should be aware that this can be a small added expense. I am also starting her on Fluoxetine, a daily anti-anxiety medicine to help manage the stress of the rehoming process. If she does well on it, her new family might choose to keep her on it long-term. Other than anxiety, Freya has no health issues. She is an indoor-outdoor cat and needs to be able to go outside when the weather is nice but sleep safely inside at night. I love Freya very much and hope to find a new family who would stay in touch to update me on her once in a while.

Daisy is a sweet 10+ year old little lady. While we don't know her history, we know she has a lot of love to give to that special someone. Over time, she will be your very best friend, but that's exactly what she needs, time. She is very slow to warm up to others, preferring the company of one trusted adult. She would do best in a calm, quiet, patient home that is willing to give her time to decompress. When she decides you're her person, she is full of affection. She is a professional biscuit baker, and the loudest purr machine. She is a very vocal girl, and you will know when she is happy or upset with you. Given her propensity to shy away from strangers, noises, and fast movement it is thought that she would do well in a quiet, single adult home. It is unknown how she would do with other cats as due to her timid nature, she has been kept in her own private suite in her foster home. She has had extensive dental work and prefers wet food, but will eat both. She is on a special diet. She is not declawed, but uses her scratching posts perfectly. She is the sweetest girl with her person of choice, all she needs is the one person who will give her the calm and quiet she deserves at this stage in her life.

This six-year-old gentleman doesn’t demand attention, but earns it in a way that’s hard to explain until it happens to you. What makes MeiSu truly extraordinary isn’t just his beauty, it’s his heart. When a dog in his foster home fell critically ill, MeiSu was the only foster cat who kept returning to her side, gently sniffing, watching over her, and reaching out with a soft paw to let her know she wasn’t alone. Playtime is where his playful spirit really shines: he goes wild for feather wand toys, happily bats around catnip mice, and is an enthusiastic fan of Cat TV on YouTube. When he’s not mid-pounce, you’ll find him a few feet away from his favorite human, quietly keeping you company while you work, read, or watch TV. His little meows are as entertaining as they are endearing (they are very little). MeiSu is looking for an adopter who understands shy kitties and is willing to let trust grow at his pace. He’s been through significant changes in his life, and earning his trust takes time, but what you get in return is profound. Once he feels safe, he’ll accept gentle pets and brushing with a rumbling purr and the most enthusiastic biscuit-making you’ve ever witnessed. He bonds deeply with his people, and when he finally lets his guard down, it feels like a gift. MeiSu does wonderfully with cat-friendly dogs and enjoys the company of other cats. Older children could be a lovely fit, as long as they understand that gentleness and patience are essential with this sensitive soul. The best things take time; if you give MeiSu yours, he’ll give you his heart. Ziggy is a handsome boy with elegant Siamese markings and coloring.  He's also sweet, affectionate and playful!  Actually, he's the whole package! Ziggy keeps himself in tip-top shape by running around, chasing a wand toy with his humans, playing with other kitty friends or even by himself.   When he's ready for a little downtime, he can often be found napping and snuggling up to his human, especially at night.
