We understand you are excited to adopt a new fur family rescue, however, we are a small rescue so please no calls. All the information we have for this animal is in this description please read the entire description. If you want more information please email us at info@gunterslegacy.org and we will try to respond.  We do not adopt out-of-state. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years old. You must live within 1.5 hours of Vallejo. We do require a home check (no exceptions), We try to match each animal with the best fit for the animal.  Our adoption fees are not negotiable.  we do not have a facility we are foster-based and we are not a first come first serve rescue If you are interested in potentially adopting please review our adoption process (do not skip to the application without reading or we will reject your application) and application on our and criteria and if you wish to continue please complete our application on our website at www.gunterslegacy.org/adopt Josh would do better as an only dog. He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself.  He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing.  He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##

Story
Violet was rescued from the streets of Tijuana when she was two-months old. I adopted her when she was 5 months old. I met her in San Diego and she's been with me now in Riverside for two years. She shows much less of the effects - really just timidity - of her experience on the streets of Tijuana and she's been able to socialize well with other dogs and people for some time now. My personal impression is she's a gentle spirited dog and affectionate with those she knows and trusts. I believe she's well adjusted in the environment she knows. She's probably best as a single pet. I also think she would be a great fit for an active (walks mostly - but she could be a running partner), somewhat experienced pet owner. She could also fit in a household of a family with older children. She knows vocal and hand commands. Sit, Stay, Wait, Leave it, Come, Follow, Paw. Looking for a place where she can run and be the active dog she is.

These pups are in Apple Valley, California too!

Story
Ginny is from a family of Korean Jindo mixes. White/cream. She is @40-45 lbs, long legged and slender. 1 year old.  Ginny loves running around with her siblings and being patted by the volunteers. She is shy with strangers and in new situations, but she should warm up in a home once she settles in. Sweet girl, has never been aggressive. Her other siblings still here are Neville and Harry Pawter. Ron Weasley and Hermione are adopted. They came from a home. Ron Weasley had a DNA test done by  his new owners and it showed that they had 75% Korean Jindo.  *She is spayed and has her puppy shots. Find our applications on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under Adopt a dog, and email to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. You may then request an appointment.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Story
Harry Pawter is one of a family of young Korean Jindo mixes. 1 year old . @50-55 lbs. House trained. Good with adults and kids. Outgoing and active boy. Loves playing with toys!  He was adopted from us as a puppy and returned 4 months later. They said he was well behaved in the home and did not bark. They returned him after he got away from them on a walk and scared another dog (though did not harm him). So he will need an owner strong enough to walk him on a leash. One of Harry's brothers had a DNA test done by his new owners and it showed that they are 71.2% Korean Jindo, along with 16.8 pit bull, 7.6 rottweiler, and 3.9 German shepherd. He can be food aggressive with some dogs, and he doesn't seem to like some small dogs - though he was fine in his former home with the small male spaniel. Harry is ready for his new home; he is neutered and has his puppy shots. Find our applications on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Adopt a dog" and email to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Then you can ask for an appointment.  *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available.
