Poor Patty was dumped off at the end of a dirt road. My friend picked her up and asked me to foster her. According to Guide dogs of the Desert, Patty is a basingi/sheperd + ? mix. She has great potential to be a service dog. She has very high energy and needs an active person to adopt her. She would love to hike, run, hunt, and go to the beach. So far she has learned to sit, come "here-here", come to her name, stay (hand up palm facing her). She loves to ride in the car, and gets along with large/small dogs and cats. She still thinks she is small so I use the command, "leave it" and "be gentle". She likes to look out the window and the front door. I let her sit on the couch and sleep in the bed but, she is smart and can be retrained. She hasn't ran away once. She likes to hang with her people but she also likes to hang out in her kennel outside.I love her but I am 60+ and it would not be fair to her for me to keep her. She does need a very active person.

He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself. He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing. He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##

FINN! ADOPT ME! I'M READY TO CRAWL INTO YOUR HEARTS! Finn is a mystery mutt. We guessed chi corgi at first, but they seem to have outgrown the chi part, we've considered Basenji, Shepherd, Min Pin, and more but the truth is we really don't know. 🤣 We think they will be medium large sized (55ish pounds) but we're not making any promises at this point. Finn is fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. He's about 7.5 months old. Finn has been raised with dogs of all sizes. He gets along with them all. He's very happy go lucky. He loves to play. Working on his housetraining but getting there. He does pretty well on leash and loves to go to Starbucks! Crate trained, but he didn't really like the crate. He's not cat friendly. Currently in foster in So Cal, can be adopted anywhere in California. Adoption fee of $300 includes neuter, microchip, core vaccines, and free access to online training programs that we purchase.
