Story
“Lil Lil” is 2 yrs, has no bite history. When properly intro’d with time to warm up, she is pleasant, easy-going, laid-back, and fun. She loves long walks/hiking/sunbathing/tug-of-war/chasing a soccer ball. Classic Basenji independence—stubborn and cat-like, so training is a challenge. Thrives on structure and routine (sleeps indoors at night, days outdoors with lanai access, toys, rest). Crate-trained for sleeping, may growl at night when she is tired. Needs patient intros to people (stranger danger); sometimes prefers women and older kids (12+). Does not/cannot bark, limited yodeling. Selective to small dogs her size only; not good with cats. High prey drive=leash walks only. Particular about food—needs grain-free for skin sensitivities. Mild environmental allergies managed by vet; otherwise healthy. Patience needed for grooming. Special needs: anxiety with travel, schedule changes, and transitions—benefits from consistency; must be held on car rides, could benefit from anxiety mgmt.
