Want a dog who can zoom around the yard with her dog pals and then immediately turn into a warm, fuzzy throw blanket on your lap? Then Archidamia may be your girl.     She’s friendly to her core and plays beautifully with other dogs. She greets humans with a happy wiggle, and believes belly rubs should be considered a universal right. Archidamia’s biggest dream? A forever home where she can finally unpack her emotional suitcase full of love, loyalty, and maybe one half-chewed squeaky toy. She’s ready to be your best friend, your adventure buddy, your couch companion, and your personal mood-booster all in one.     If you’re looking for a joyful, cuddly, dog-social gal who’s just waiting to call you her person, apply today and come meet Archidamia — she can’t wait to wiggle her way right into your heart. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Baloo! 🐾✈️ This handsome guy made the long journey all the way from Djibouti and is now ready to find his forever home! Our best guess is that Baloo is a Basenji-Saluki mix, and he’s every bit as unique as that sounds. He has put on some healthy weight since arriving and is now 35lbs. Baloo has a gorgeous tan and white ticked coat and soulful eyes that tell the story of his journey. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through. He warms up quickly to other dogs and will absolutely need a confident dog companion in his new home to help him continue to blossom. He has also gotten along great with the resident cat in his foster home. Baloo is crate and house trained and since being in his foster home has learned the ropes of life in a home—he has warmed up to his foster family and the resident pack. He came into foster care not knowing any basic house manners or training and is doing so great with a solid routine and continued reinforcement. He will need a patient adopter committed to helping him continue to become just as great as he can be! If you’re ready to help a special pup, write the next chapter of his life, Baloo might be the one for you. Baloo is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Petconnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email France at fbognon@petconnectrescue.org. **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
