Story
• Rescue Story : Meet Charlie 👋 In Nov 2019, Charlie was rescued in S. Korea along with his mom and five siblings. While all of his siblings have since been adopted, Charlie spent nearly 6 years in a shelter. Finally, he had a chance to move into a foster home late last year! He’s now learning how to live with humans and patiently waiting for his forever family🙏 • Personality: Gentle, Friendly, Laid-back Charlie is a sweet, gentle, calm boy! He may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, but he truly loves people. He’s secretly very affectionate and enjoys cuddles and physical touch — even from new people. / Energy level: medium–low. He relaxes well on his own at home with no separation anxiety. Zero aggression! • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Great around other dogs (when freely roaming) -Adults/Kids: Good with all people. Just needs a little extra time to warm up to men. • Housetrained: Fully potty-trained for outdoor bathroom • Walking Manner: He walks happily and responds well to handling. Needs a little guidance not to get too excited about passing dogs and may try to chase birds. • Shedding: Level 6 • Food Allergies: None • Car Rides: currently a bit nervous in the car but improving little by little. - just need more experiences! • Barker or Quiet: Very quiet (Howls only for the first few days in a new environment) • Separation Anxiety: Zero • Bathing/Brushing: Very calm • Likes & Dislikes: Loves getting pets / Not a fan of suddenly being lifted • Health: a healthy pup! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
* Special Notes: Jinu was born with a deformity in his left front leg, but it has never defined him. He’s learned to walk in his own special way—and he can even run freely, full of joy and confidence. All Jinu needs now is a loving family to stand by his side, believe in him, and show him a world filled with adventures, warmth, and endless love🙏 • Rescue Story: Jinu’s story began with a miracle. Last July, his tiny mama was found on the streets and rescued just in time, moments before euthanasia, and brought safely to our partner clinic. On August 3rd, she gave birth to six puppies—Jinu was one of them. Jinu was born with a deformity in his left front leg and had a harder start than his siblings. With special care and love from the clinic staff, he grew up healthy and strong. One of his siblings has already found a forever home, and Jinu is now waiting for his turn at the shelter. Despite his slightly weaker leg, Jinu is a bright, happy, and positive pup who loves life. He deserves a family who will see his resilience and give him the joyful life he’s been waiting for! • Personality: Sweet, Playful, Friendly As a young puppy, Jinu's personality will continue to blossom with love and guidance. He has that joyful puppy energy that fills a home with laughter and happy chaos. • Affinity with - Dogs: Good with other dogs. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Loves people! He hasn’t had experience with children yet, but given his young age, he is expected to adapt quickly. • Housetrained: Work in progress • Walking Manners: pretty good on a leash! • Likes: Loves people's pets and cuddles! • Shedding level (1~10): Expected to be moderate once fully grown (5–6) • Health - Vaccinations: up to date - Jinu was born with a deformity in his left front leg, but it has never defined him. He’s learned to walk in his own special way—and he can even run freely, full of joy and confidence. All Jinu needs now is a loving family to stand by his side, believe in him, and show him a world filled with adventures, warmth, and endless love🙏

Story
Aubrey - 4 years, 26lbs, Basenji/Terrier Mix, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Level of dog ownership experience required:BEGINNER – “Beginner” doesn’t necessarily mean easy as all dogs will require time, work, and patience, but we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale because of their breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  Energy level:MEDIUM – Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Okay in the city?We don’t know yet because this pup is brand new to us. Most adult dogs do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs.  Potty trained?Probably! Adults usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. A consistent walking route and schedule plus finding spots with grass or dirt can help. Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some like to wrestle with every passing pup, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats? Not sure yet! Some breed mixes that are generally NOT great matches for homes with cats include large hounds, huskies, and shepherds.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age carefully.  Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2730670##

Story
🚨 MILO NEEDS A HERO — HE’S RUNNING OUT OF TIME 🚨 Milo hasn’t had a fair start… and now he’s paying the price. This ~4-year-old Basenji mix (about 50 lbs) was removed from his owner after being left without proper shelter or water. Since then, the world has felt scary, loud, and unpredictable. Milo is timid and unsure, trying to figure out who he can trust. But he’s not shut down—he’s just waiting for someone to show him he’s safe. And when you do… he leans in. He accepts gentle pets. He tries. That’s the part of Milo no one sees in a kennel. With other dogs, Milo can come on a little strong at first—he may posture or try to assert himself—so he’ll need slow, structured introductions and guidance. With the right person, this is absolutely manageable. 💔 The reality is… dogs like Milo don’t get much time. Not because they’re bad— but because they need someone willing to understand them. ✨ What Milo needs: • Patient, experienced adopter or foster • Calm, structured environment • Proper introductions with other dogs (or happy as your only) • Someone willing to go slow and build trust ✨ What Milo will give: • A deep, loyal bond • Quiet companionship • The kind of transformation that changes both your lives He’s not aggressive. He’s not a lost cause. He’s just never been given a reason to feel safe. 👉 Please be the one who changes Milo’s story. PLEASE HELP THIS BOY NOT MUCH TIME BEFORE HES KILLED ‼️ PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
Let’s all cheer for Chester, a 2-year-old, 14-pound Basenji-mix! Chester is an extremely sweet and gentle soul who has already shown he could conquer anything this new city has to offer! According to his foster, he has adjusted very quickly and has taken extremely well to any form of training that’s been put in front of him. He went from being unsure of stairs to walking up them like a pro in a day! He has adjusted to crate training well within a few days and walks amazingly on a leash. He can take a little bit of time to come out of his shell when meeting new friends but once he does, he becomes the sweetest, most affectionate dog around, being particularly fond of giving face kisses! He’s so trainable and picks up new skills super quickly. Chester is still building up his confidence but with support from a loving family, Cheser can conquer anything! As his foster put it, he’s really just the best boy! Approved adopters interested in Chester can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info. If you're not approved yet, apply today at hbrdogs.com.
