Story
Meet New Horizons New Horizons is a sweet and gentle soul looking for a quiet, patient adopter to help him continue blossoming. True to his Basenji roots, he's naturally peaceful and doesn’t bark—making him a wonderfully calm companion. This little gentleman is impressively clean: no chewing, no destruction, and completely house-trained. He walks politely 2–3 times a day, has a solid appetite and sleeps soundly through the night. New Horizons has never shown aggression—only fear. But with time, love, and encouragement, he’s already showing signs of growth. He’s food-motivated and shows great potential for continued progress. If you're a kind, calm presence who believes in the quiet power of patience, New Horizons may be your perfect match. ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2368146##

**Located in Korea** Meet Goldilocks! Just like the famous fairy tale character, Goldilocks is a friendly and adventurous pup with a heart of gold. This sweet and playful doggy loves spending time with people and enjoys the company of her doggy friends too. Goldilocks is not just friendly, but she's also engaging, making every moment spent with her truly enjoyable. She's always up for fun and loves exploring her surroundings, just like the curious Goldilocks who ventured into the three bears' home. While Goldilocks is quite the social butterfly with other dogs, she would prefer to be the only dog in her forever home. Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 Meet Hyunmi💕 (It means brown rice in Korean) 💙 Update Account: @adogs_hyunme 1⃣ Health Status • Neutered: Yes • Others:  • Microchipped  • Heartworm negative 2⃣ Rescue Story Hyunmi was rescued from the Gimje shelter where he had been staying with his sibling #ADogsGiri. Since they were still very young and the shelter environment posed a high risk of infectious disease, they were both rescued before spending their entire puppyhood there. 3⃣ Personality & Behavior • With People: Hyunmi likes people but is a bit shy around strangers at first. He may bark when approached, but calms down when corrected. With familiar people, he loves to follow them around and cuddle—he wags his tail, relaxes in their lap, and even shows his belly for pets! • With Dogs: He’s timid around unfamiliar dogs, but he plays joyfully and wrestles with familiar ones, especially his current foster sibling. He’s been showing increasing dependence on his foster sibling, so it’s being closely monitored. • With Cats: Shows little to no interest, even when encountering them directly. • Separation Anxiety: He does well alone and also enjoys playing when accompanied by other dogs. If left with an unfamiliar person, he may be shy but warms up with treats and relaxes. • Potty Training: Mostly prefers outdoor potty. When indoors, he tends to use the bathroom area over pee pads. • Grooming & Handling: He tries to run away before baths but stays still once it begins. He vocalizes during nail trimming to express discomfort, but it’s manageable. • Walking & Leash Training: He avoids being leashed at first, but once the leash is on, he walks just fine. If someone other than his foster tries to leash him, he gets scared. When startled by cars or motorcycles during walks, he freezes and needs to be carried to a calmer area before resuming. • Car Rides: Has done well on short trips and usually rests calmly. 4⃣ Special Notes • Knows “Sit,” “Lie down,” “Wait,” and “Turn”! • He’s sensitive and can yelp when startled or when rough play gets overwhelming. Loud, sudden sounds tend to scare him. • He’s more comfortable eating when others aren’t around—currently fed separately to help him feel secure.

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Meet Dong-yeop👋 Dong-yeop was wandering in the mountain and the neighborhood. He followed other dogs walking around. Some residents filed many complaints to fire stations, police stations and animal rescue organizations, but they all failed to rescue him, raising vigilance. In the meantime, He often appeared in front of the house of a resident and ate meat she was feeding him. Some residents who were interested in Dong-yeop's rescue in the neighborhood decided to work together to rescue the dog, set up a fence in front of the house, and succeeded in rescuing Dong-yeop who came in to eat. Since then, Dong-yeop has been living in a temporary foster home for months, where he had good care and love and learned lots of tricks. He has turned into an amazing dog who loves walking and playing with toys! He is now more than ready to find his own forever home! • Personality: Shy, Smart, Curious • Affinity with -Cats: He tends to chase street cats but is not very interested in indoor family cats. -Dogs: Great with other dogs. He also relies on the resident dog in his foster home. -Adults/Kids: Shy around new faces / not much interest in kids • Shedding: 5-6 (1-10 scale) • Food Allergies/Picky Eater: No food allergies. While he loves meat very much, he doesn't eat vegetables or fruits. • Walking Manners: Still in training but improved a lot on leash walking! Now he's excited to go out for walks. • Housetrained: Fully-housebroken, using the bathroom only outside. • Baths: Not a fan! • Separation Anxiety: None, thanks to the other dog in the house. • Bark or Howl: Not really... except when he greets his foster at home out of joy. • Likes & Dislikes: He likes other dogs and tug-of-war! He loves beef and he likes to get pets! / He's not a fan of being chased or carried by people. He seems to get better as times go by though.
