Story
Eugene is a sweet fellow who loves his people and enjoys being part of the action once he's had a minute to settle in. He's not the type to rush into introductions like a rom-com meet-cute - he prefers a brief "vibe check," and then he's all in with the love.He has enjoyed casual recreation with other dogs and has lived happily with cats. He appreciates a consistent routine and is learning that alone time isn't the end of the world (don't worry, he's working on it). With structure, enrichment, and a little patience, Eugene continues to show how great of a companion he can be. Eugene is seeking a home without children at this time. Story
Gilbert is a 3MO, 10lb Long, scruffy pup.  We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  Gilbert and her sibling have short little legs and long bodies, which makes us believe they have either Dachshund or Bassethound in them.  Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet.   Gilbert and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas.  They were absolutely terrified at first.  A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program.  They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere.   Gilbert and her siblings are typical puppies.  They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them.  They love to snuggle and hang out.  Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe.  While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization. If you are interested in adopting Gilbert or one of her siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2647798##

Story
Indy is really the sweetest dog ever. She's so well behaved and cute. She came to me from a family of dogs where she was attacked and she attacked other dogs. She has been really good for the past year but she's been growling at my kids and she nipped at my 6 year old. She cannot handle any dogs or children. But she is so good for someone who does not have those things. She is trained in house and walks and has done good in apartment and house living. She will come with all of her supplies.

Story
Senior Beagle Looking for a Calm, Loving Home Meet Penny, our 14-year-old beagle. She is healthy, sweet-natured, and full of gentle affection—a classic beagle who loves being close to her people. We are seeking a new home for Penny due to a very difficult family situation. We are in the process of saying goodbye to her older brother, and Penny has also struggled to adjust to living with our two large Newfoundlands. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can be the center of attention, or with calm, smaller dogs. About Penny: 14 years old and in good health Sweet, affectionate, and gentle Enjoys companionship and a calm environment Loyal, loving beagle personality Could have 2–6 wonderful years ahead This decision has not been easy. Our priority is finding Penny a peaceful, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years. A quiet household or someone experienced with senior dogs would be ideal. Please message me if you can give Penny the loving home she deserves.

Story
This little guy is very sweet and cute. He is a perfect size at around 22 lbs and heartworm negative. I think this lowrider would be an excellent companion at 7 years old, as he was very laid back and sweet. He loved giving kisses nonstop and was inquisitive about all the noises around him. He seeks affection and will run towards you when he notices you're there. He is leery of other dogs when on a walk and has some nervous energy and for that reason will be best in a home with a fenced in yard for him to explore. Kids are not a favorite of his so no small children.
