Story
We can't talk about Lilo and Stitch without first telling Mum Myrtle's story. Poor pregnant Myrtle was caught as a stray on the streets of San Antonio and tragically found herself on the ACS (San Antonio Animal Care Services) euthanasia list. On the day she was supposed to die, a miracle happened and she gave birth, giving her precious, additional time to be rescued. We think Myrtle is a medium 35-40 pound Beagle mix, but Dad didn't stick around so we're not quite sure what to label these pups except... CUTE! Myrtle has a wonderful temperament and is super sweet! The puppies, Lilo and Stitch, are energetic, love toys, chase balls, are good with other dogs and kids including little kids. They are still a little bit 'in your face' puppies so not good for senior dogs who'd be disinterested or annoyed.   Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2669152##

Story
Robin is a very sweet and lovable companion that loves to be by your side and cuddle. She does have some behavior issues around other animals when on leash - however at the dog park when off the leash she loves to play with all the other dogs. And can sometimes be selective about people that she likes to be around.Food of course can be a guarded resource, and she likes to have sole access, will be aggressive if others are around.Robin barks at typical yard animals and passersby, less of an alarm and more of a presence detector but is manageable. Indoor barking is minimum.Robin takes a nightly pill to help with bladder issues, but for the most part she doesn't have any problems being inside.Robin is very well mannered indoors, she does not jump up on counters or tables, does not chew everything in sight.

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Pops finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Meet Pops | 8-year-old Beagle mix, 50# | Playful, Cuddly, and Curious Meet Pops, a lovable 8-year-old Beagle mix who perfectly balances playtime and relaxation. Pops is house-trained (though, like any dog, occasional accidents may happen as he adjusts to a new home), sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, and is a total gentleman when left home alone. He’s happiest with a few daily walks and loves playing tug-of-war or games where he has to search for treats. For downtime, he enjoys cuddling on the couch or lounging in a recliner chair. True to his Beagle nature, Pops loves to follow his nose and can get excited when he spots rabbits, squirrels, or other dogs during walks. He’s been working with a trainer and continues to make progress with his leash manners. He does best with smaller dogs and can be reactive toward dogs his size or larger, so a home without other big dogs would be ideal. Pops adores human companionship—he’ll happily curl up beside you on the couch or rest his head on your lap. Motivated by both food and affection, he thrives with a little structure and consistency. Pops would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely sniff, explore, and satisfy his curious Beagle instincts. The ideal home for Pops will be active and structured, with someone who enjoys outdoor adventures as much as he does, no cats, and children aged 10 and up. With his affectionate nature, playful spirit, and love of snuggles, Pops is ready to be both your adventure buddy and your cozy companion at the end of the day. Click here to see more photos and videos of Pops!   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
