You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since August 2019Bucky is a happy dog who loves to play and run in the yard. He enjoys being out in the yard and rough-housing with dominant female dogs. When people play with him, he is best directed by treats.  Please check out his video below!He has a scar on his neck which shows us that at some point in his life he may have been abused. He is food assertive, so must be handled carefully when giving and taking food away. He would do best in an adult-only home with a dominant owner to keep him in line and model alpha, pack order.  Bucky is very cautious of new people and would be best to have a home with very low traffic. *****Special note about his video***** Bucky is a sweet playful dog, but he has anxiety about meeting new people. We believe that the best thing for Bucky is for a potential adopter to visit him at the shelter several times before trying to do an official meet and greet for adoption. We can set you up to observe him with others he already knows. Spending time with him during walks at the shelter and giving him treats will be the best way to his heart. This will take a little extra time and effort on your part, but it could be worth it for you. We have done this slow-meet technique with another one of our dogs who didn't make a good first impression, and it paid off for the family who adopted him! They are very grateful to have him in their family now. Daisey is a 9-month-old Beagle mix who weighs about 27 pounds. She is very lovable and enjoys giving soft snuggle kisses. She gets along well with young children and loves to go on walks, run, and play with tennis balls. She is house-trained, loves ice cubes, and is very lovable and affectionate. She does well with other small/medium size dogs and cats. She is very quiet and only barks when she needs to go out. She enjoys being outside, camping and just being around people. She does not like fireworks if she is outside but does not affect her if she is inside a building. She knows the commands to sit, come, crate up, house, outside, and potty, and working on stay still. She is great on leash training and walks very well. Her adoption donation is $350 which includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip. She is heartworm-negative and on monthly preventative. If you are looking for a new lovable new family member, then Daisey is your girl.
