Story
Meet Sinatra. This short legged "low rider" guy was found wandering in a rural area. No one ever came to claim him from the shelter. Sinatra is a little timid but warms up quickly. Our dog walkers say "Sinatra is awesome. Around people he doesn't know he is very shy but once he gets to know you he is all hugs, wiggles and wags." Sinatra loves chew toys and walks well on a leash. He gets along with other dogs. We do not know what he thinks of cats. Sinatra is about 2 years old and 55 pounds. Please help Sinatra find the loving home he deserves. Update: Sinatra tested positive for two common tick borne diseases, Lyme & Anaplasmosis. He has completed his course of oral antibiotic is doing great. Sinatra is ready to go home with his forever family! We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Story
Flash is a charming senior 42-pound Basset/Beagle mix who wins hearts with his sweet and laid-back demeanor. This lovable boy is the epitome of a chill companion, always ready to relax by your side or go for a leisurely stroll. Flash is an easygoing boy and a master of relaxation, known for his love of sleeping in and enjoying peaceful moments. With his endearing mix of Basset and Beagle traits, Flash combines the best of both breeds. His friendly nature and gentle disposition make him a perfect fit for families or anyone looking for a calm and affectionate dog. Flash’s easygoing personality means he adapts well to various environments and lifestyles, whether you're enjoying a quiet day at home or a fun outing. He doesn't mind other dogs and hasn't yet been tested with cats but with his laid back demeanor, we think he'd be ok with them too.  Flash is as quiet as they come, preferring the serenity of a tranquil environment. He's food motivated, making training a breeze with his eagerness to learn and please, even at his age. In his downtime, Flash voluntarily retreats to his crate, finding solace in napping and having his own cozy space. Unlike some pups, Flash is not at all destructive and doesn't have a taste for chewing on things. His gentle nature shines through in every interaction, earning him the title of a truly sweet boy with a heart of gold. Always ready to offer companionship and love, Flash is the ideal addition to any household looking for a loyal and mellow furry friend. His sweet spirit and relaxed attitude make every day a bit brighter. Flash is heartworm negative.
