Story
Junior is sweet, fun and ready to find his forever home! You can’t go wrong with Junior. He is approximately 1 year old, weighs 38-40 lbs and is a low rider! Don’t be fooled though, his stubby legs don’t hold him back. He can keep up with the best of them. Before we got Junior, he did not have an easy life. When he was younger, he was roaming the streets with his mom when he was hit by a car. His mom never left his side while he laid in the road. Thanks to an amazing group of people, him and his mom were rescued off the street and Junior was rushed to the veterinarian, where he underwent surgery for his leg. His mom has since been adopted. His leg was broken in multiple spots – and he had to get pins put in to hold one of his back legs together. Now months after this terrible accident, you wouldn’t even know Junior was injured! Junior is fully healed and romps around like the playful, energetic little guy he is. There is no long-term care for his leg, and he is not on any medications. Junior is house trained and crate trained. He LOVES his crate and we recommend having one in his new home for him to call his safe place. He LOVES other dogs. There is not a dog Junior has met he does not like. He’s just the happiest boy! Ideally, he would do better in a home with other dogs, or in a home that socializes him often with other dogs. Other doggies help him get his energy out! Junior loves kids and would do wonderful with ages of kids! Looking for a riding partner? Junior loves car rides! While he does love his toys is quite active, he loves sleeping on the couch and cuddling right up next to you. He also loves water and playing in pools or bodies of water! Junior would be a wonderful adventure buddy! His foster says he has a funny quirk – when he goes into his crate he will not lay down or settle down until he has a bed inside of it. He will sit there and wait until you bring him a bed for him to lay in. Junior knows his worth, and he accepts no less. An ideal home for Junior will be one that is more active that will take him on adventures, long walks, and lots of play time with other doggies and/or children. The foster has not one bad thing to say about Junior. Please consider giving this perfect boy a chance at his forever home! Junior is NEUTERED (fixed), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on dewormer, flea/tick and heart worm prevention. He is heartworm negative, will be microchipped and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. His adoption fee is $525 – there are no additional fees. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, Enfield, New Haven and Dayville, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Meet Nelson, a two-year-old Dachshund and Basset Hound mix who traveled all the way from Mountain City, Tennessee, to find his true forever family. Nelson unfortunately found himself in need of a fresh start after his previous owner moved and chose not to bring him along. Despite the setback, this resilient boy is keeping his chin up and looking forward to his next big adventure.   He has already earned a hilarious reputation among his rescue friends. He has been affectionately dubbed "No Leg Nelson." But a quick look proves that he does, in fact, have four fully functional legs! They just happen to be wonderfully short, low-to-the-ground, and packed with classic hound charm—making "Wee Little Leg Nelson" a much more accurate title.   Short legs aside, Nelson is an absolute catch for any household. He is already housebroken and gets along wonderfully with both kids and other dogs. He has also been cat-tested and, with a slow and patient introduction, he is expected to do just fine sharing his space with a feline sibling.   With his soulful eyes, floppy ears, and sweet demeanor, Nelson is the perfect blend of companion and comedian. He is ready to put his past behind him and settle into a stable, loving environment. Nelson is looking for a loyal family who will give him the commitment he deserves and ensure he is a cherished part of every move they make.   Nelson is fully vaccinated, neutered and ready to meet you. Apply today at ehrdogs.org.    June 10, 2026, 2:46 am

Story
Rigby is Mr Personality!!! He is a happy go lucky soul that got dropped on a country road on a cold day in the winter. He found a long driveway and walked a half mile of it, and then scratched on the house door to come in! He is a very fun guy that loves absolutely everybody he meets, including all dogs and cats! He is playful and snuggly and silly and absolutely loves to check out dark spaces like cabinets, washing machines, or even crawling in the refrigerator! He goes on a daily 1 mile walk with five other dogs and he loves to snuggle with you at night in bed. He tested positive for Heartworms and his currently on antibiotics. In late May, he will need to begin the process of injections to kill the worms. The person who adopt him will be responsible for following the protocol set by the vet to get rid of the worms. He will need to be kept calm during most of June and July this year while the worms dissolve. He is very easy to care for and he will make you smile and laugh every single day. Contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.
