11 y/o Beebe is a Bassett mix who was surrendered to HBHR when his family moved out of the country. They were afraid that he would not do well with a long quarantine. He was extremely over-weight, and it was amazing that he could get around on his legs! It has taken several months but Beebe has gone from 87 pounds to 50+ ponds and is looking great! He has a spring to his step and can now run with the pack when an alert goes out about a squirrel sighting! He can be a bit grouchy when napping and younger pups step on him in their games but is usually mild mannered and only barks when the pack decides it is time to sing! Beebe is affectionate and is first to come for pets in the morning when you first get up. He wants his pets and has no interest in hearing about your full bladder! This sweet boy is good around people and kids and will do well with or without a canine companion.

We no longer are able to care for 8 year Pluto, my dad (owner) of the dog health has deteriorated with the constant back in forth with medical procedures and surgery along with dialysis treatments and myself who constantly works a lot or at times work outside of state we aren’t able to care for Pluto as a dog needs. We are asking to rehome him to a loving home . He’s always been good with kids and random cats that he doesn’t disturb on walks . My dad loves Pluto but due to our busy schedule and his health we sorted to finding a new forever home as we are exhausted out of options

With our staff, he’s gone from hesitant to absolutely devoted — the kind of dog who quietly follows you around the yard like he’s afraid to miss a moment by your side. He’s a calm, potty-trained, easygoing companion who doesn’t ask for much: a soft place to nap, a person to trust, and a home where he can finally exhale after living the shelter life for so long. Once he knows you’re his person, his loyalty is unmatched. Little Foot is truly one of those dogs who just needs a chance — and when he gets it, he gives everything back tenfold.

Wrestling, barking and running are saved for a few hours each morning followed by a regenerative 9-hour nap. Nellie is a 13yo corgi/basset mix, and Elvis is 9. At this stage in their life, they just want to play a little and then relax with full bellies and their favorite belly rubs. These two are super sweet! ##2733107##
