Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. Story
Hi! I'm Butch. I'm from Alabama. From his foster: Meet Butch! This little Basset mix came all the way from Alabama to join The Bond Between family. Butch definitely has middle child syndrome. He is a sweet pup, who can often be found playing independently after being ignored by his brother. Butch's favorite toys are chewing toys and squeaker toys, but he can be found chasing a ball around a room periodically. While he is often off alone in his own part of a room, he will absolutely throw down with his brother and our resident pup if they engage in play with him. We are still in the process of potty training, but Butch is very good with going outside on a schedule (right now about every 2-3 hours and right after naptime). The only time he has had an accident is right away in the morning after getting out of his kennel when we were too slow to get his leash on and get him outside. Be aware, though! He happy pee dribbles when he is excited to see someone. Butch has also been working on kennel training and will go into his kennel with treat incentives. After about 10 minutes of mournful hound a-woos, he calms down and goes to sleep. And he sleeps through the night! Additionally, he has started sitting on command. This boy is treat-motivated and just waiting to learn all your basic commands. In terms of physical appearance, Butch is objectively adorable! He has expressive eyes, cute floppy ears, and chonky white mittens. We adore his half white snout and that sometimes his feet slip out from under him and he goes sliding like a newborn deer (think: Bambi on ice). Butch isn't very mouthy for a four-month old pup, which has been a nice surprise and when he does give mouth hugs, he is easily redirected. He is good with dogs and kids. While he hasn't shown lapdog tendencies, he will come over for pets and love before finding his own space to nestle down. If you are looking for a cooperative, fun-loving, independent pup, Butch is your guy! From the Vet: Butch and his siblings are being monitored for hematomas on their ears. They should go down over time, but his future adopter may need to follow up for ear care as needed with a primary care veterinarian if his ears are bothering him in the future.

Story
Hi! I'm Clover! I am from Alabama. From his foster: Clover (Grover) aka, is a low key puppy by puppy standards! He loves his toys and Belly rubs for sure! He follows my dogs around and copies what they do, it's so adorable. He is a major snuggler and wants kisses all the time. He is a very smart chunky monkey hound who likes to sniff everything. What surprises me is how agile he is for a short legged, long body boy! He gets the zoomies and jumps and runs fast.. playing alone, or with the dogs. This guys will do great in any home!
