Story
My name is Francis, or as my foster mom calls me, Franny. I am a Basset Hound/Lab mix born approx 6/7/24. I'm a bit on the shy side, but once I come around, I want to be near you all the time. I am potty trained and do well going potty on a schedule. I'm good with other cats, and my current foster home has dogs of all sizes. It is unknown how I am with kids, so a home with dog-savvy kids who know how to treat a shy dog would be best.  I do well in a crate with a treat, but I do have a bit of separation anxiety. I would do well in a home with no shared walls, no apartment, or townhouse. I love walks on the leash and car rides. I cannot wait to find my forever family!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $575.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2025, 3:58 pm

Story
Lynn, Lynne, or Lynnie is a lovely, beautiful little girl. She is about a year old and weighs 27 pounds. She  has the face and voice of a beagle (she sometimes bays but other than if she's startled by something, she doesn't bark much). She's shaped like a dachshund - as "they" say, a dog and a half long and half a dog tall.    Lynnie is very affectionate and loves being right next to her person or on their lap.   She is housebroken and after a few minutes she settles down and is quiet in her crate. She's is in her crate when no one is home and for meals but sleeps in bed with the other dogs and me overnight. Someone is home most of the time here and the dogs go out quite a few times during the day and evening.  She's very curious about what's going on in and outside the yard when we are outside.  She loves to run and play in the yard but can also be lazy in the house. She particularly  loves chewing on nylabones.  Lynnie is quiet in the car, traveling in a crate, but hasn't yet been for a ride with a doggie seatbelt.   Lynnie has been for several walks on a harness but does pull so she needs continued work with that.    Lynnie is very good with the other dogs in the pack but she is not good with cats and maybe not with other small animals either. She hasn't been around children since she's been with us. She might prefer women as she seems anxious around men.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxSay hello to Moto — named after the charming, chunky hippo from Madagascar because, well… the resemblance is pretty adorable. Moto is a short, stout, and incredibly lovable boy with the long body of a basset and the big blocky head of a Staffy. He was found wandering in a nearby park and brought to safety by a kind stranger. After completing his stray hold in doggie jail, Moto is now in need of a foster home where he can settle in and start shedding a few of those extra pounds. Moto is very overweight at the moment, but he’s got a big heart and an even bigger personality. Friendly, affectionate, and easygoing, he’s the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side (or ideally, snuggled next to you on the couch). He’ll benefit from a gentle routine of walks, a healthy diet, and a patient foster who can help him feel safe and loved as he gets back to a healthier weight. This mellow meatball is ready for a soft place to land — and maybe a few belly rubs along the way. Moto needs a foster ASAP. So we can bust him out of jail 7/11 Can you be the one to help him get back on his paws?
