Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Tripp! Tripp and his sister were rescued from an high kill shelter in Texas. He is a terrier mixed with other breeds unknown, 20 pounds, estimated to be about 6 or 7 months old and he is eagerly to find his forever home. Tripp is a curious, rambunctious puppy with a face that melts hearts with his big brown eyes and a slight underbite (so cute!) Tripp loves his foster mom and follows her around the house. If you can't see him, be assured he's stealthily slipped away right underfoot and is happily up to something. He loves his toys, treats and chew toys – especially his chew toys. Tripp can be sneaky about running off with his big foster brother’s toys, though, and will hide them deep in the folds of his bed. On occasion, I’ve even found missing socks and other pieces of laundry tucked in his bedl!  When he’s winding down he can be very snuggly and wants to be touching his human. He loves his foster big brother pup, too’, following him around like a little shadow. He loves to chase, frolic and wrestle with his 75 pound foster when they are out in the back yard together. As he’s met more dogs, he’s gotten less wary and more friendly. After he’s introduced to other dogs – big or small, his tail is wagging and he’s ready to play with them, too. Tripp is such a smart little guy and has aced “sit””, “down”, “wait” and has almost mastered “come”, and “shake”. He loves to explore, has lots of energy and wouldn’t mind at all if his daily walks lasted all day! And he’s so good in the car. He is very treat motivated and that makes training pretty easy Since he's being fed in his kennel, he doesn't mind going in it when his foster leaves. He sleeps through the night curled up on his bed next to his kennel, or he’ll nestle in his kennel through the night, too.. He is good about going potty outside but is still learning house training. He’s been doing well and is getting the hang of it, especially when he’s on his schedule and is let out regularly. His new family will need to continue that training with him. I’ve not seen Tripp around cats, yet, so I’m not sure how he’d do around them. Tripp is not around children in his foster home but has met them at adoption events and happily greeted all with wiggles, wagging tail and lots of kisses. I think he’d love to live in a busy home with children and or another dog to play with. Trip would be at the top of the list if the list wasn’t in alphabetical order!  This little guy is microchipped, neutered, and ready to make his way into your heart! If you think Tripp is the perfect fit, please put in your application  on our website at mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescukegroups.org. Story
When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! Story
McCoy, oh what a boy! He's goofy he likes to carry things around in his mouth. He loves cuddles and attention. He gets along with other dogs but does need an occasional reminder to chill out cuz he pushes it a little too hard. He plays with big dogs and little dogs! He's good with cats! His foster homes does not have little kids but at events on Saturday young kids play with him in the puppy pens and he does great! He even had a sleepover with three 10-year-olds and they gave him a 100% kid approval rate! He's super playful but he just loves to be with people. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Copper. I am a lovely adult female Basset Hound. I do not like loud noises, and I am initially shy, but I warm up quickly then my playful side emerges! Hee, hee!! I am crate trained but am still working on potty training and since I have the luxury of a fenced yard, I don’t have much leash experience either so I will need my new yard to be fenced too. I have never met any cats, but I am good with kids and other dogs. My favorite activities are playing with my resident fur sibs, verbally expressing my excitement, and partaking in some small Milk-Bone treats…YUMMM!! I truly am the sweetest girl EVER and I am simply looking for a fur-ever home with a patient family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me! Hopefully YOU will be my new family because I would love to spend the rest of my life by your side! I promise, I’m totally worth it and I will love you more than I love myself!  Love, Copper Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hi – I am the sweetest little basset hound you will ever meet! I came to MN as a very shy girl that needed some time to get used to life in a home and am doing amazing!  I know you won’t be able to resist my big brown eyes and long, very soft Basset ears. I live in a condo with my foster family and everyone loves me! I am a very engaging gal and love to stop and gossip with all the neighbors. I get along great with my foster brother and I love meeting new people and playing with other dogs. If you stop petting me, I will nudge you for more attention – I am a pro at nose boops! I am a bit of a couch potato – but who isn’t during MN winters?! Overall, I live a pretty quiet life – I like looking out the window to see what’s happening outside. I would love to have another dog in my forever home to help me gain confidence and learn how to dog. Another friendly and social dog will help me get on a routine and learn all about important dogs things. We are working on leash training – since I live in a condo we go out to the potty area on a leash. If you are committed to continue leash training with me I don’t need a fence in my forever home. I like to go on short walks around the neighborhood. Also, I don’t bark much so I’d be fine with living in an apartment or a house. My foster dad is home most of the time so not sure how I would be if left home alone all day. I’m still working on potty training but making a lot of progress. I know to go sit at the door when I want to go out. It’s best to keep me on a regular schedule but I can also stay in my kennel for extended periods. I have never had an accident in my kennel and I sleep throughout the night in my kennel without making a sound. I’m working on some basic obedience commands but am quite well behaved and I know we will learn so many new things together! I have one bad habit - I will try to steal your food if you are not looking – I am sneaky! And I may take a shoe off the floor, but it’s more for comfort than chewing. If you are looking for a sweet little lady to keep you company, I’m your gal.
