Story
06/18/26 15:54From the foster home:-Goes by the name Capri -She is potty trained, and uses pee pads.-Requires a lot of exercise. She has a lot of energy and loves running with other dogs at the dog park. -Loves to play fetch with stuffies. Will rip stuffing out of her toys though, so it’s best to buy toys without stuffing.-Fed twice a day, 8am and 5/5:30pm. Likes a mix of wet food with dry food. -Loves other dogs, and prefers a companion dog. However, doesn’t like people and will bark at them. Never aggressive though. She has never bitten us or anyone.-Scared of loud noises and sudden movements. She is still getting adjusted so we try to desensitize her with loud noises. -Recently pregnant and spayed. Healed well. -She prefers to sleep in bed with you and needs a lot of cuddles/reassurance. Sleeps through the night but is an early riser. -She doesn’t like human food, other than meat like chicken. She won’t bark at you when you eat, but she will be curious and may try to stick her nose around food. -She has seasonal allergies and scratches often. Was just treated for flea prevention on 6/12. -Is a flight risk still. Keep a baby gate near front door or be extra careful leaving the house because she will take off.

Meet Bruno: Your Future Cuddle Companion! Are you looking for a professional-level snuggler to spend your weekends with? Meet Bruno, a handsome 7-year-old Beagle who is ready to find his perfect retirement home.Bruno is the definition of "man's best friend." He is fully potty-trained and a total pro at being lazy—he’s happiest when he’s curled up right next to you for a long cuddle session. If you want a dog who is content to just be himself and keep you company, Bruno is your guy. Bruno is a sensitive soul who is a bit intimidated by large, boisterous dogs (he’s not a fan of big huskies!). Because he can get a little over-excited and bossy during play, he would do best in a home where he can be the "king of the castle" or perhaps paired with a calm, patient companion. He’s a smart boy who would benefit from an owner who understands his Beagle energy and loves his loud, happy personality.

* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an application. * This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 20th from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event.   All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Adoption fee: $650 Meet Bocce: The Last Little Gem of the Litter   Poor Bocce. She's watched all of her brothers head off to their forever homes, and now she's wondering when it will finally be her turn. The good news? Whoever adopts this adorable little pup is getting the pick of the litter.   At just over 3 months old, Bocce is everything you could want in a puppy: sweet, smart, playful, cuddly, and packed with personality. She has the most adorable spotted socks, a scruffy wiry coat on top, and the softest little puppy belly underneath. Her foster family describes her as the perfect blend of spunky and sweet.   Like most puppies, Bocce's daily schedule revolves around three important activities: eat, play, nap... and then repeat. Her day starts around 6:30 AM with a potty break, breakfast, and a burst of puppy energy. She loves romping around the yard, chasing toys, exploring the world, and then dramatically collapsing into a nap. You'll often find her stretched out on the floor, curled up in a dog bed, or snoozing peacefully in her crate.   When she's awake, Bocce likes to be wherever her people are. She'll happily follow you from room to room, supervise household chores, or settle nearby while you work. If you're busy, she's perfectly capable of entertaining herself with toys or exploring the yard. When left alone, she's comfortable hanging out in a puppy-proof area or relaxing in her crate.   A Tiny Puppy Brain Working Overtime   One thing that stands out immediately about Bocce is how smart she is. This little girl loves learning, especially when treats are involved. She already knows how to sit on command, sits politely for meals (well... as politely as a puppy can), and proudly runs inside to collect her reward after going potty outside.   Her foster family says she has the sweetest habit of tilting her head when you talk to her, as if she's carefully considering every word. It's impossible not to fall in love with that curious little expression.   Social Butterfly with a Dash of Sass   Bocce has spent her life playing with her littermates and other puppies, and she's proven to be both social and confident. She enjoys playing with other dogs but isn't the type to be pushed around. She can hold her own while still being friendly and fun.   She's met teenagers and has shown herself to be affectionate and outgoing. She's also fascinated by the family's pet bunnies, though she prefers watching them over barking at them.   Adventure Buddy in Training   Bocce is a typical puppy with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life. Her ideal home is one that will continue introducing her to new experiences, adventures, and training opportunities as she grows. Whether that's neighborhood walks, trips to the park, weekend outings, or simply helping with yard work, Bocce is happiest when she's included.   She doesn't need someone by her side every minute of the day, but she absolutely enjoys companionship and will always be excited to see you when you come home. Her attitude seems to be, 'Great, you're back! What are we doing next?'   The Puppy Fine Print   Bocce is doing wonderfully with potty training but is still a young puppy who needs consistency and supervision. She's crate trained and settles nicely in her crate.   Like any puppy, she enjoys chewing and exploring with her mouth. Toys are her best friends, and she's easily redirected when she finds something she shouldn't have. She occasionally barks but is such a quick learner that her foster family expects continued training to go smoothly.   At night, Bocce can sleep in her crate or snuggled at your feet in bed. She may occasionally need a nighttime potty break while she's still growing, but that's all part of puppyhood.   Why Bocce?   Because she checks all the boxes.   She's sweet without being shy. Confident without being pushy. Smart without being stubborn. Independent enough to entertain herself, but affectionate enough to make you feel like the most important person in the world.   And when she wakes up from a nap? She stretches, lets out the biggest puppy yawn you've ever seen, and finishes it with the tiniest little yip. It's impossible not to smile.   Bocce has been patiently waiting for her family while all of her brothers found theirs. Now it's her turn. If you're looking for a puppy who will make you laugh, keep you company, and grow into an amazing lifelong companion, Bocce is ready to roll right into your heart. June 18, 2026, 10:29 pm

Five unique personalities. One incredible start in life.   At just two weeks old, these puppies arrived in foster care with their devoted mother, Clue. Over the following six weeks, they have been raised in a loving family home surrounded by children, visitors, household activity, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Thanks to Clue's patient guidance and the dedication of their foster family, these puppies have developed into confident, affectionate, and well socialized companions who are ready to begin the next chapter of their lives.   The Clue Litter has been raised alongside children ages 8 to 13 and has enjoyed regular interaction with both adults and kids. They have been exposed to everyday household life, including televisions, dishwashers, vacuums, gardeners, visitors, and the normal sights and sounds of a busy home. They have also been introduced to cats and are growing up comfortable around a variety of experiences.   Like their mother, these puppies are exceptionally smart. They are already learning recall, sit, and basic commands and eagerly respond to positive reinforcement. During the day, they use a puppy door to independently go outside for potty breaks and playtime, and at night they consistently use pee pads in their x pen. They are curious, food motivated, and genuinely enjoy learning.   More than anything, these puppies love being with people. Whether they are following the kids around, climbing into laps for cuddles, or eagerly participating in training sessions, they have been raised to see humans as an important and rewarding part of their world.   While each puppy has a unique personality, they all share the same loving foundation. They are affectionate, people oriented, playful, and eager to learn. Based on their current size and build, we expect them to grow into medium sized companions similar to their mother.   If you're looking for a puppy who has had an exceptional start in life and is ready to continue learning, exploring, and loving, one of the Clue puppies may be your perfect match.   ---   Dagger   Dagger has quickly become the favorite of the twelve year old in his foster home, and it's easy to see why. This handsome boy combines confidence, intelligence, and affection into one irresistible package.   A medium sized puppy within the litter, Dagger loves to play with his siblings and join in family activities, but he also appreciates quality cuddle time. In the evenings, you'll often find him curled up on the couch giving kisses and soaking up attention from his favorite people.   Like his mother, Dagger is smart, eager to please, and highly trainable. He isn't the leader of the group, but he's always happy to join whatever adventure is underway. His balanced personality makes him a wonderful combination of playful companion and devoted snuggle buddy.   ---   Candlestick     Don't let her small size fool you. Candlestick may be the runt of the litter, but she has one of the biggest personalities.   This little girl is determined to be included in everything. Whether her siblings are wrestling, exploring, or meeting new people, Candlestick is right there making sure she doesn't miss out. She approaches life with confidence and enthusiasm that far exceeds her size.   Candlestick is incredibly affectionate with both people and her littermates. She loves being part of the action and thrives on connection and companionship. Her spunky personality, loving nature, and endless enthusiasm make her impossible not to adore.   ---   Pistol    Pistol's silky smooth coat perfectly matches her gentle personality.   While some puppies rush headfirst into every activity, Pistol prefers to take a moment to observe the world around her. She is thoughtful, calm, and quietly confident. Often you'll find her sitting nearby, patiently waiting for pets and affection rather than demanding attention.   Pistol is happy to join in playtime with her siblings, but she is equally content exploring independently or simply relaxing and watching the world go by. She loves cuddles, kisses, and spending time with her people. Her steady, sweet nature gives her a maturity that is remarkable for such a young puppy.   ---   Wrench   Wrench has a scruffy coat, an expressive face, and a personality that instantly wins hearts.   This lovable girl learned early that sitting politely often results in being picked up for cuddles, and she has been charming people ever since. Smart and observant like her mother, Wrench quickly picks up on routines and enjoys interacting with everyone around her.   She has a wonderful medium energy level and plays happily with all of her siblings. Whether she's wrestling, exploring, or soaking up affection, Wrench brings a gentle and easygoing spirit to everything she does. It's no surprise she became the foster mom's favorite, and she may just know it.   ---   Lead Pipe    Lead Pipe is the natural leader of the litter.   Confident, social, and endlessly curious, she is often the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new space, or figure out a puppy sized puzzle. She loves learning how things work and approaches life with enthusiasm and determination.   While she may be one of the more active puppies in the group, she is equally devoted to her people. Lead Pipe loves following family members around, staying involved in whatever is happening, and making sure she's included. When playtime is over, she crashes just as enthusiastically as she played.   Smart, affectionate, and full of personality, Lead Pipe is the kind of puppy who turns everyday life into an adventure.   ----   In the game of Clue, the goal is to solve the mystery. Fortunately, there's no mystery here! These puppies are smart, affectionate, well socialized, and ready to become beloved family members. The only question left to solve is which puppy is meant for you.   June 18, 2026, 10:29 pm
