Rescued alongside their mama, a 30ish lb Scottie type mix, after being found abandoned and brought to a shelter, the Picnic pups have spent their earliest weeks safe in foster care, growing into happy, social, playful little explorers. At just 8 weeks old, they’ve already mastered the important things in life: eating enthusiastically, wrestling with siblings, chasing sticks, tripping humans with shoelaces, and collapsing into giant puppy naps together afterward.   These puppies have been raised in a home environment with lots of love, attention, and guidance. They spend their days playing together, cuddling with their people, hanging out with the resident doodle, and learning great puppy habits along the way. They sleep piled together in their x-pen on a giant fluffy dog bed and are already doing impressively well with potty routines for such young pups.   Routine The Picnic pups start their day around 7:00–7:30am, heading straight outside to their designated potty area where they are remarkably consistent for babies their age. Once business is handled, it’s time for zoomies, wrestling matches, and exploring while breakfast is prepared. Meals are served family-style in a communal puppy bowl, with some puppies approaching breakfast more enthusiastically than others. After breakfast, they enjoy supervised outdoor playtime in a secure enclosed area if the weather is nice, followed by a much-needed group nap back in their pen. Lunch is around 1:30–2:00pm, dinner is around 9:00pm, and throughout the day they alternate between play sessions, potty breaks, cuddles, and epic puppy naps. At night, they head out for one last potty break before lights out around 10:00pm, usually ending the day in a sleepy puppy pile together.   The Puppies   Bocce (6 lb on May 7th) The only girl of the group, Bocce may be the smallest puppy, but she absolutely carries herself like she runs the household. Confident, fearless, and hilariously opinionated, Bocce is convinced she can boss around dogs ten times her size — and somehow gets away with it because everyone finds her adorable. She’s outgoing, playful, social, and always ready to explore something new. While her brothers are usually happy to cuddle for long stretches, Bocce prefers quick affection breaks before she’s off on another adventure. She’s the most consistent with potty habits, the least shy of the bunch, and definitely the ringleader of the crew.   Croquet (7 lb on May 7th) Croquet is an enormous softie. Pick him up, rub his tummy, and he immediately melts into total bliss, happily lounging on his back for as long as the belly rubs continue. He’s outgoing, affectionate, playful, and loves being part of whatever is happening around him. He also has strong opinions and excels at communicating them! He'll let you know when he's hungry, ready to play, or in the mood for a nap. He's one smart cookie!   Beanbag (8 lb on May 7th) Beanbag is the foodie of the family and currently one of the two biggest of the group. Quiet and easygoing, Beanbag is perfectly content splitting his time between wrestling with siblings, snuggling with humans, and making sure he never misses a meal. He’s affectionate without being demanding, playful without being chaotic, and has the kind of mellow, sweet temperament that makes him incredibly easy to love. Beanbag enjoys attention, loves toys, and happily joins every group activity — especially if snacks are involved.   Cornhole (8 lb on May 7th) Cornhole may be the softest soul of the bunch. While still social and playful, he tends to hang back just slightly more than his siblings and is happiest when he can melt directly into someone’s arms. Pick him up and he immediately snuggles into your neck like he’s been doing it forever. He’s gentle, affectionate, sweet-natured, and loves cuddling more than just about anything. Though he may watch before jumping into play, once his siblings get going, he’s right there with them. Cornhole has a wonderfully calm, loving temperament and would happily volunteer as a full-time lap puppy.   Personality The Picnic pups are social, affectionate, playful little puppies who truly enjoy being around people. They love toys, sticks, leaves, tug games, and especially anything one puppy can steal so the others can chase them around. After every burst of play comes an equally dramatic group nap. They’re adventurous without being wild, cuddly without being clingy, and remarkably mellow for such young puppies. Most of all, they genuinely seem to enjoy simply being together — whether that’s exploring outside, tumbling around in play, or sleeping in one giant puppy pile at the end of the day.   These babies are looking for homes ready for all the fun, training, structure, and lifelong commitment that come with raising a puppy. Here's how I did: Bailey did really well. We went hiking and finished with a short jog. She was friendly and wanted to say hi to everyone and every dog, but also easily redirected as we walked on. She was curious and enjoyed sniffing all the new scents on the trail. She was a good jogging partner. She also enjoyed running in the yard once we were back at the house, but also settled down in the shade after a while. Bailey is a 10-year old beagle terrier mix who still has plenty of energy and a huge heart. She loves to play, run, snuggle, and do anything outdoors. Hiking, camping, long walks, and especially relaxing on the beach are her idea of a perfect day. When she's not exploring, she's happiest curled up next to her person.Bailey bonds closely with her owner and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. She does experience some seperation anxiety, so when left alone, she does best in her kennel with a peanut butter kong and regular daily walks. With the right routine, she settles in nicely.She's very dog-friendly overall, but prefers calmer companions. Nippy puppies and very high-energy large dogs aren't really her vibe. Shed do best with mellow dogs or as the center of attention in a loving home.Bailey is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate.Im rehoming her due to my job.
