Story
Meet our enchanting Beagle girl with striking two-toned eyes — a rare and beautiful trait known as heterochromia.True to her Beagle nature, she is gentle, observant, and incredibly affectionate once she feels safe. She’s currently seeking a calm, low-stress home with a patient, kind “gentle leader” who will let her blossom at her own pace. This sweet soul is wonderfully mellow — potty trained, easy on leash, good with most other dogs, and happiest in peaceful routines. She isn’t destructive and prefers quiet companionship, often drifting off to sleep to soft music like it was made just for her.Shy at first, but deeply loyal once bonded — she’s the kind of dog who turns a quiet home into something truly special. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion who brings calm, not chaos, she may be your perfect match.

Story
Francis is a 1 yr old neutered Lab mix who fractured his 5th metacarpal bones (bones just below his wrist) on both front limbs. The specialty center is doing a staged procedure to place hardware to help the fractures heal. He had one of the procedures already and is due to the next one in about 1 week. He is in splints/bandages currently. The surgical recovery period is estimated to be about 6-8 weeks. At this time of the recovery, he is required to have strict cage rest with no running, jumping, playing and leash walks only to go to the bathroom. He will also need his splints/bandages changed regularly. As he progresses in the recovery, he will most likely need some physical therapy but he is not there yet.Adopters: Come in daily 1pm-5:30pm or email Animal.Care@venturacounty.govFosters: Email VCAR.Foster@venturacounty.govRescues: Email VCAR.Rescue@venturacounty.gov
