I can be a little shy at first, but once we bond, I’m fiercely loyal. I’m really looking for a calm, low-stress home with a patient, kind `gentle leader` who will let me blossom at my own pace.I’m a wonderfully mellow girl who loves a peaceful routine. I`m already potty trained, easy to walk on a leash, and I get along well with most other dogs. Hello! My name is Graham, and I'm available for adoption at Santa Barbara Humane's Santa Barbara Campus! Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped​. My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier. If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours—daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No ​appointment or advance notice is ​r​equired! Need to pick up a few essentials before heading home? Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the programs that serve pets and people throughout our community. ​We hope to see you soon!

In October 2024, WEACT and 14 other rescue organizations headed to a puppy mill site in Busan that had over 550 dogs. This horrendous site was also located next to a dog meat farm. The site, where many animals were slaughtered, bore horrifying traces on the various machines and tools. In a place where death is a daily reality, Bert was rescued there.

Gizmo is an 8-year-old sweetheart who has been a beloved part of our family since we adopted him as a puppy from a shelter in Castaic, CA. He is affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. Gizmo loves nothing more than chasing a ball and will happily play fetch for hours. After playtime, he's happiest curled up next to his favorite person for snuggles and companionship. Recently, our blended family brought two dogs together under one roof, and unfortunately Gizmo has not adjusted well to sharing his space with another dog, especially one much larger than him. Because we love him and want him to have the best quality of life, we have made the difficult decision to find him a home where he can thrive. Gizmo would do best as the only pet in a home where he can receive the attention and affection he enjoys. He is looking for a loving family to be his forever best friend.
