You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***IN TRAINING TILL MID JULY***Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! The Beer Pups - Barley, Hops, and Porter The trio was surrendered to PRBJ after their family had to move from their farm to a townhouse. The boys were originally found late last summer when they were just a few weeks old. They have grown up around lots of kids, other dogs, and farm animals.  They walk well on leash and are potty trained. The trio seems to be a little nervous with moving again to a new place but are starting to warm up. They are hound mixes and should not get much bigger than they are right now, making them a great fit for a family of any size.   Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 1, 2026, 10:50 pm

Story
I acquired him from PetSmart when he was about 6 months old, and he is now an 11½-year-old Beagle mix. He is a sweet, loving dog with lots of energy who enjoys being around people most of the time. Unfortunately, over the past year he has developed some resource-guarding behaviors around food, treats, and being crated. He has snapped a couple of times, including one incident where he caught my hand while I was trying to crate him after going for my son's food. I don't believe he intended to injure me, but these behaviors need to be taken seriously. He also has recurring skin issues that require ongoing care that I can no longer financially afford to keep up with. I'm looking for an experienced, patient home with the time and resources to work with him and manage his medical needs. This is a difficult decision, but I want him to have the best chance at a safe, happy life.

Story
Some dogs are good dogs. Some dogs are great dogs. Freido is the dog your dog, your cat, your kids, your neighbors, your veterinarian, and probably your mail carrier would all vote for in a popularity contest.     At 4 years old, this handsome beagle mix has perfected the art of being everyone's best friend. Dogs? Love him. Cats? Love him. Kids? Love him. Complete strangers? Also love him. Freido has never met a friend he didn't want to make.     In fact, he's such a model citizen that he's reportedly ranked among the Top 5 Chillest Dogs at the Vet—a highly prestigious award that he definitely made up but absolutely deserves. While other dogs are filing complaints about nail trims, Freido is busy collecting compliments from the staff.    He's also an excellent road trip buddy. Hop in the car and Freido is ready to ride shotgun (figuratively, of course). No backseat driving, no judging your music choices—just happy vibes and quality companionship.    Freido knows a few tricks already and is always eager to learn more, especially if snacks are involved. He's smart, attentive, and genuinely enjoys hanging out with his people.    If you've been searching for a dog that's friendly, easygoing, adaptable, and somehow manages to be both the class valedictorian and the social butterfly, Freido may be your guy. Warning: Adopting Freido may result in frequent compliments from strangers, an increase in spontaneous adventures, and the sudden realization that your dog is more popular than you are. ##2764743##
