PLEASE CONTACT: Michelle (816) 783-7831 or HeroHoundRescue@gmail.com   Winnie is a chihuahua/beagle mix who needs to be an ONLY dog due to her chihuahua jealously issues. Winnie was adopted from HERO with her mother, but the older she gets, the more her jealousy is causing fights. She does not have issues with the other senior beagle girl of the house, but she is older and doesn’t tend to seek out a lap. This is breaking her human’s heart, but it is in Winnie's best interest. Winnie is 18lbs, 5 yrs old fully vetted, leash trained, potty trained, very cuddly with her humans & has been good with other dogs when humans are not around, but will cause fights over her human’s attention. Winnie’s jealousy issues show up when she is with her mom (her human) and her mom comes around for love. These are not little fights, so to keep them both safe we are looking for a new home for Winnie. Chihuahuas tend to pick an owner & be protective of that owner. Small dog, big personality issues. Winnie wants a human that can be all hers. Winnie is in Nashville, but transport an be arranged to a new home. She has a natural ability to sense emotional distress and offers comfort, making her a great candidate for an emotional support animal and possibly even service training. She is crate trained, housebroken (she waits to be let out), walks well on a leash, and gets along well with both dogs and cats—she especially enjoys cuddling with cats. Saydee can be sensitive to loud noises like gunshots and may be a bit stubborn with commands, though she is learning. He is now in his 3rd week in a temporary foster home in MO and loving it! Although he seems quite content to enjoy the comforts of a home, Waffles cannot be a trusted with cats or even fluffy little dogs who look to him like rabbits. He is great with the other beagles, a shihtzu, chiweenie, havanese mix and pitty in his foster home, but the Maltese who is tiny, white and looks bunny-ish is a no go. She runs and he chases. Otherwise, Waffles is friendly and good natured. He is still young and energetic so will need a family who can provide him with physical excercise and mental stimulation appropriate for his age and breed.
