Me and my siblings came together from a farm in the Redlands, where it’s very likely we were used for backyard breeding, and very likely we got very little love and affection. But despite this, we are all very loving and playful! I am potty trained, and great with other dogs and with kids. Apply to Adopt Me! Libby is an approx. 7-8yo, 24lb. beagle mix. This super sweet girl is very calm but still enjoys playing with other dogs. She is great with kids, cats, dogs and even chickens. She rides great in the car. She likes to sleep in an open crate during the day, and sleeps in it at night on her own, sleeping quietly through the night. She is almost house trained, but for now she needs to sleep in a crate or she will pee inside the house during the night or early am. She had an accident the first day and but has been great since. She will follow you from room to room and started sleeping with her fur siblings in their beds with them after about a week. Libby walks well on a leash but would love a fenced backyard to sniff and lay in the sun. She enjoys having doggy siblings, and will follow her foster friends around the yard. She is a low shedder. She is mostly quiet but will bark occasionally when she gets excited, like dinner time, going for a walk, or presented with a Kong toy (her favorite thing is peanut butter inside the Kong). When Libby arrived to us, she had severe dental disease. She has had two dental surgeries with extractions while with our rescue; after the last dental it was found with CT scan that she has a small root fragment where one tooth used to be, but was not one of the teeth removed by our vet. So once she is adopted, her adopter will need to see a dental specialist to have that taken care of. She also still needs a couple extractions. Libby also had a mammary mass removed with our rescue. The mass was determined to be a lower grade malignant adenocarcinoma. The vet was able to get the entire mass and there is no evidence of metastasis, which chest x-rays indicate no spread. Libby is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. She can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fox arrived in Florida only yesterday but she's already doing so well in her foster home! She was a little timid to begin with but now is following her foster mom around and playing with the other female beagle. They were chasing birds together early this morning. Last night Fox went in the crate for a chew toy and fell asleep for the night, so being comfortable in the crate is looking good. Also, no accidents in the house so far, but foster mom is taking her out often to potty and giving treats for success. Fox was rescued with 2 other beagle friends from the streets in Mississippi. We can also tell you that Fox does fine with cats and kids. She is heartworm positive so we will schedule her treatment sometime in May. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chipmunk has just arrived in Florida so we don't have a lot of information to share yet, but he was rescued with 2 other beagle friends from the streets in Mississippi. The rescuer was able to keep them safe for us and we got them all vetted in Mississippi. We can also tell you that Chipmunk is an absolute love sponge and does fine with cats. He is heartworm positive so we will schedule his treatment sometime in early May.
