Story
‼️Arlo is not at Dekalb Humane Society‼️His current owners are holding onto him so he doesn’t have to come back. They are absolutely heartbroken to make this decision but they are doing what’s best for the dog in the situation. Please apply at DeKalb Humane Society if you are interested. This is the bio his owners took time to write personally: “Are you looking for a new best friend? Meet Arlo, he LOVES people, and he’s looking for his forever best friend.Arlo is a 1.5-year-old beagle mix with a big personality and a lot of love to give. His favorite pastimes include:Surveying his domain (the backyard)Running at full speed (he’s quick!)SunbathingSquirrel watching from his favorite windowGoing on literally any adventure (he’s awesome in the car)Chewing on his favorite BeneboneCuddling with his favorite humanGiving A LOT of kissesSitting on his favorite human’s lap to get a better view out the windowHowling with his humans. He has quite the singing voice! For the last 6-months, Arlo has been living with what we’d hoped would be his forever family. He has been well-loved by them. Unfortunately, we’ve found that Arlo would likely do best as an only dog, at least until he has worked through his resource guarding. Arlo does not resource guard with his humans, but he does with his current dog brother. The professional trainer he’s worked with believes this can be remedied, but his current human can no longer manage the situation due to circumstances outside her control. He also currently has a cat brother, who he is not a danger to, but who he does often like to chase. In the last 6-months, Arlo has made a lot of improvement with his “sit” command (he’s a wiggle butt and gets VERY excited about food). He is fully crate-trained, but if he knows you’re leaving the house, he’ll be quite vocal about it until you actually leave. He is accustomed to sleeping in his crate and stays perfectly quiet until you’re ready to let him out the next morning. If you want him to sleep in your bed, he’ll be thrilled about it. He’s fully potty trained and hasn’t had a single accident in the 6-months he’s been in his current home. His recall has also come a long way, and he typically comes inside when called, even when he’s not thrilled about it.Arlo would do best with humans who have a decent-sized (or large) backyard that is fenced in, so he has plenty of room to safely run and sniff. He’s also a high jumper, so a privacy fence would be ideal. He would absolutely love it if his human were home a lot during the day (a stay-at-home parent or work-from-home situation would be awesome). His current mom works from home, and he loves to hang out with her while she works.Arlo will bring along his crate, crate cover, crate pad, 2 favorite blankets, his favorite chewies, and his food/water bowls with a mess-control stand to his new forever home. And, his new family will get one free training session (virtual or in-person) with Jody at Green Dog Goods in Fort Wayne to help them understand how to help him through his resource guarding.Arlo isn’t just an adorable face. He’s a big love bug packed into a 21lb package.”An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00

Story
His momma was a stray. Her name is Pearl and she has C-section on July 10th.. Estimated to mature at about 20 inches tall and about 40 pounds--not little, not too big, but just right medium size! He is a very nice pup and are patiently waiting to fill someone's life with companionship, loyalty, and love. House-trained, up to date on healthcare, great with kids and other dogs. He is being fostered in Virginia but we offer free transport to many states. I've included a DNA test on Onyx, his sibling.

Story
Meet Wowie a 1 1/2 year old beagle mix! While he is shy at first when he opens up he is a fun loving dog. Wowie loves the attention of his people, he just takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Wowie enjoys playing with a ball, frisbee and stuffed toys. I am not fully house trained but with the use of a crate I will quickly catch on. I have lived in a home with a child, cat and another dog at one point! My sibling Tomato was adopted from here and now I'm also hoping to find my perfect fit. If you think I'm just the right size and temperament for your home please come meet me. I would love to have a home that is willing to teach me all of the things that I haven't been shown before!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Meet Roxie ❤️🐾 As of June 20, Roxie has been patiently waiting in her foster home for 52 days, and her foster family can't figure out why this sweet beagle hasn't found her forever home yet! The best way to describe Roxie? She's simply happy to be loved. Every day she greets her people with happy feet, a wiggly butt, and a smile that makes coming home the best part of the day. Roxie is around 9-10 years old, but don't let her age fool you... She's always ready for a walk and can pull on a leash from being so eager to explore. She lives wonderfully with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. She's the kind of companion who just wants to be part of the family. Now, Roxie does have a few requests for her future home: A soft bed and a spot on the couch. Meal time is her favorite event of the day, and she eats like she's competing for a gold medal. Her foster family has turned dinner into a fun brain game with a slow feeder, which she absolutely loves. Like many rescue dogs, Roxie is still learning. She spent her previous life living outside 100% of the time, so she's adjusting to life indoors. She's mostly potty trained, with only two accidents during her entire foster stay, but she's still figuring out how to let her humans know when she needs to go outside. She's also learning that crates aren't scary. She'll settle in one during the day, but she'd much rather not walk in voluntarily just yet. One thing her future family should know: if the front door opens, Roxie may see it as an invitation for a little adventure! She'll need a family that's mindful about keeping doors secure while she continues to learn. Roxie isn't looking for a fancy life... just a family who will give her the love and comfort she's waited so long to find.♥️ Please share this post so Roxie can find the forever home she deserves.

Story
RPSM DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT NICKIE AT  734-250-5367 Daisy is an 8-9 year old Beagle / Bulldog mix.  She is a round ball of love, personality, and snuggles.  Daisy May loves to play with her toys, get belly rubs, lounge on fluffy blankets and pillows, roll and jump in the snow, and cuddle up with any person she meets.  Daisy is known to enjoy a good car ride and excitedly wags her chicken-nugget-tail whenever she goes outside and the car door is open.  While she is a bundle of snuggles and love, Daisy May is a stubborn one and wants things the way she wants things.  She’s a gal that knows what she wants and when she wants it.  She is very trainable, yet patience and persistence are definitely required by the trainer.  Daisy is healthy and strong, yet she likes her cookies a lot, thus carries a bit of extra cushion.   Daisy would do best in a home with children that are older than toddler-age as she gets grumpy when people are too rough with her.  Daisy May cannot be in a home with other animals.  With other animals, Daisy becomes territorial with food, people (she has NEVER been aggressive toward people), toys, and her space RPSM DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT NICKIE AT  734-250-5367##2622964##
