Story
Abel originally came to us because his family felt they really didn`t have time for a dog. He was adopted, but his next family returned him after 6 years because he was having potty accidents. Abel is a VERY good boy and weighs about 38 lbs. He likes to be close and loves to sleep on his family members` pillows if they let him. He is a playful guy who would love a dog playmate or kids to help him burn off his fun energy. Abel has lived with a cat and did well. He is crate trained, but but has not been destructive in the home. If you`d like to meet Abel, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

☀️🐷 Meet Saint—our lovable little “Pig Pen!” 🐾 This handsome boy has traded his shyness for sunshine! These days, you’ll find him rolling in the grass, flopping in the dirt, and soaking up every bit of sunshine he can find. 🌿💛 But Saint’s heart belongs to his sister, Beignet. ❤️ The two survived a heartbreaking hoarding situation together, and while Saint has blossomed into a happy, goofy boy, Beignet is still very leery of people. She leans on Saint for comfort, confidence, and courage every single day.🛡️ 🪢They’re a bonded pair who have never known life apart—and we need to keep it that way. Could your home be the happy ending these two have been waiting for? 💕 🏡 http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TIP-A-555

Story
👋 Hi, I’m Boudin! I’m what the experts call a “short stack” 🧁— low to the ground, but a solid 70 lbs of pure happiness packed into this wiggly little body. 🌞 I’ll admit, the world is still a little new and scary to me. I’ve been learning in my foster home that people can be kind, homes can be safe, and life can be pretty amazing. 🏠 I’m a guy who likes to find my safe spot first… but don’t let that fool you! I’m very curious about everything happening around me. 👀 Once I realize you’re one of the good ones, you better believe I’m sticking with you — you’ve now got a Velcro dog! 🏆 🤡I’m also a professional snack enthusiast, belly rub collector, and silly goofball once I’m comfortable. 😋 My goofy personality shines brighter every day as I learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. I just need someone who will be patient, show me love, and help me keep discovering all the good things life has to offer. 🩵

🌸🤍 Meet Beignet—the sweetest little soul with the bravest heart. 🐾 Thanks to the strong bond she shares with her brother, she’s gaining confidence and slowly learning to trust the world around her. While she still keeps her distance from people, it’s clear she’s curious—and watching her little “happy hops” while playing outside is pure joy. 🌞 🍭One of the sweetest parts of Beignet’s journey has been watching her learn how to simply be a dog. She’s discovering that toys are actually fun, starting to enjoy playtime, and slowly realizing that gentle pets from kind humans… aren’t so scary after all. Seeing her lean into those quiet moments of trust is incredibly special. 💕 🌼 Beignet doesn’t need someone to rush her—she just needs someone willing to love her, be patient, and let her bloom at her own pace. 🏡 We’re searching for a forever home that will keep Beignet and her brother, Saint, together, because some hearts are simply meant to heal side by side. 🥹🐾 🏡 http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TIP-A-554

Story
Please read entire description. Baylee's adoption fee is $150. If interested, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process.    Baylee is a 7 year old, Basset Hound and Vizsla mix, and weighs in close to 60 pounds. She was originally from Texas and has been with her current owners since she was 7 months old. Baylee has a very sweet, snuggly personality and is friendly with most people once she has a chance to get to know them. . She can be described as a velcro dog and loves to be with her people. However, she is not a fan of infants, which is the reason she is needing to find a new home. She has been around younger children in the past, none the age of a newly mobile teeny human, though. This is heartbreaking for her owners who have worked very hard on solutions including a dog trainer. We believe Baylee could share a home with children over 10 with no issues. As she is getting older, we feel she won't want bothered by the unpredictableness of younger kids.  Baylee has shared a home with one cat in her life with no issues. She also has shared a home with another dog who has since passed. Baylee and the other dog had some disagreements and Baylee tended to resource guard her people, food, and toys with that dog at times. She seems to enjoy being an only dog, and that would be best for her in her next chapter. Baylee is solidly house trained and was crated in the past. She is trustworthy left in the home alone, but her Basset nose gets her in trouble at times when she may counter surf if given the opportunity and something is left out that she can reach with those little legs.  Baylee is currently on a $10 a month, low dose anxiety medication (Sertraline) that seems to help her in this transition with the baby and will help in a transition to a new home. Baylee knows many commands and is overall a very well behaved girl. She will do a little Basset Hound bay at some dogs she sees on her walks, but she can be redirected fairly easily. Baylee loves walks and does best with regular excerise. She will help you get your steps in! Baylee is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped.  If interested in meeting Baylee, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $150.  ##2775577##
