Story
Kevin is a charming dog who likes meeting new people and other dogs. He is housetrained and has done well both crated or free in the foster home. He is very well-mannered and mild in the home. He likes having his own space, and is not a cuddler, but is friendly and curious. Once he is outside he shows his size and strength. He would benefit from having someone who can work with him on leash training and be sure he gets plenty of exercise throughout the day.

Story
Juke is an adorable medium sized dude who just loves to run and play in the yard. He likes squeaky toys the most and will happily chase them until he simply must roll in the grass to cool down. He knows how to sit for treats and is always hungry for snacks. Juke can be a bit nervous about meeting new people, so he would appreciate someone who can take it slow when it comes to things like petting. He does like a good booty scratch as much as the next guy, but he just wants to get to know you first! We have recently found that Juke also enjoys playing with other dogs! He is a rowdy dude in the play yard, so he would be best suited to a dog that can match his energy. No cats for Juke, though.

Story
Posted 8/6/2023. Elsa and Darla are the sweetest and cutest Beagles. Elsa is 2 years old and is the daughter of Darla who is 6 years old and the are a very bonded pair. They were surrendered by an individual who could no longer take care of them and who kept them outside their whole life. It was only while in foster care that they learned what it is like to be safe, well fed and loved. Everything was new to them but they claimed the couch as their favorite spot very quickly. when they arrived last spring, Both Elsa and Darla were in rough shape and had to be treated for heartworm. They have recovered quickly and very well and very happy. They also have been spayed and vaccinated as well as dewormed and they are on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. True beagles, they love to be outside - nose on the ground! :) and apparently they roamed the streets a lot. Therefore we think that it is best if they go to a home with a decent size securely fenced in yard so they can run and snoop around at their hearts' content. Elsa and Darla are good with other dogs and they are good with children. They both like cats BUT they also like their food and they like to check out the litter boxes a little too much.... Cat boxes and cat food would have to be in a place that is not within reach. In general both just LOOOOVE eating and will climb on furniture to get to that piece of toast that you leave out...Both pups are crate trained and almost house trained. They are a lot of fun and a joy to have around. Please consider giving these two sweeties a loving forever home together. If you are interested in adopting the two please fill out an adoption application (one is enough) on our web site. The adoption fee is $150 for each pup. If you have any more questions or would like more information please email us at inthenest@gmail.com and we will put you in contact with the foster mom directly.

Story
Jackie is a female Beagle mix, mom was a Beagle, approximate date of birth 1/1/23. Hard to get a picture of because she is so wiggly   Sweet little girl, this pic makes her look bigger than she is. Very playful and loves being doted on. Unknown on cats, seems to do okay with other dogs. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com   December 4, 2023, 8:31 pm
