Story
This handsome beagle is already winning hearts — especially with his adorable “singing” voice! Like most young pups, Jace will need training, consistency, and patience to help him learn all the things great dogs are known for. He appears to love people and may do well with other dogs. He is not good with cats.True to his breed, Jace follows his nose wherever it leads, so a securely fenced yard will be important to keep him safe from wandering adventures. At this time, we’re unsure how he is with children. If you’re a beagle lover looking for a sweet, vocal, and lovable companion, Jace might just be your perfect match.DOB 4-4-25 29 poundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Gordo is a lovable Puggle/Chihuahua mix looking for a patient, understanding home. He came to us after his previous family had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to a family member's allergies. Gordo is a very sweet boy who can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate personality shines through. He is still working on his house-training skills and will need a family willing to help him continue learning with patience and consistency. In his previous home, Gordo lived happily with his father dog and did well with children. Because he can be timid at first, he would likely do best in a home with older, respectful children. He has not been introduced to new dogs since coming into our care, and he has not lived with cats. With his hound background, Gordo enjoys following his nose, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal to give him a safe place to explore and play. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Gordo may be the perfect addition to your family.DOB 6-1-2427 PoundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Bandit is a beagle mix and he has a lot of beagle traits. He loves to play, he loves to be with humans, he loves to explore and he is very vocal. He will do well with an active family who can get him out for walks or playtime in the yard to get his energy out. He just loves loves people and is sooo happy when it's his turn for snuggles and playtime with the volunteers. Bandit is pretty new to the shelter so we are still getting to know him and will update with more details as we learn about it.  ##2793945##

Story
Hi everyone, I’m Levi! I’m a 48lb pup with a heart as big as my smile. I am a large breed mix, I am not sure with what, but I think there is some Beagle in me. I’m desperately looking for a loving family to call home. I did have one, but it fell through the cracks, so I’ve been living the shelter life. Although the humans here are great, I would love some permanent ones. I get along with dogs, cats and kids! I know sit and shake, i'm very attentive to my commands! Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I am the perfect fit for any household. I love to run and play; everyone laughs at me when I get the zoomies because I tail tuck and go! It’s pretty cute if I say so myself. After play time I love to plop and relax. I’m already neutered, and up to date on my shots. I really hope you take some time out of your busy schedules to come soak up the sunshine with me. I guarantee I’ll melt your heart and have you itching to take me home!

Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rudy is approximately 9 years old, and was adopted from Michiana Humane Society in 2018. She grew up with another dog and 3 kids. She has spent the last 2 years with cats. She is extremely docile with adults and LOVES affection. She has recently shown food aggression around the kids and has attacked the cats 2 times in the last 2 weeks. She would thrive in an adult only home, with humans who stay home often or are able to take her on adventures with them. She loves belly rubs and long walks. She has never bitten a human but has bitten the cats. She will growl if anyone nears her food. This is extremely devastating for our family, but I can’t risk her aggression generalizing to the kids, as it’s posing a safety risk to my family. She is very loyal to the person she bonds to, and I’ve never met a person who didn’t fall in love with her. I want her to find a safe, loving family that can give her the time and attention she deserves as she continues aging, to help with her anxiety 🩷

Story
Meet Woodstock a 1 1/2 year old beagle who came to us as a stray. Woodstock is ready to follow his nose to a better life! He is a typical beagle with his nose to the ground and kind to everyone and every thing he meets. Woodstock likes other dogs and cats! He is a little afraid of cats and it has us wondering if he has been hit before. Woodstock has us wondering if maybe he was used for hunting at one time but we cant be sure. If you take a look at Woodstock, you may notice his cherry eye, that red tissue in his eye. Our vet has assured us that his cherry eye isn’t causing him any pain or affecting his vision, so they recommended leaving it alone for now. Cherry eye surgery is invasive and not recommended to have done unless completely necessary as they can always grow back. His adopter will need to keep an eye on it, and this may need addressed later on in his life. Woodstock is neutered and ready to go! Come take a look at him and see if he would make a good fit for your family!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
So much personality! So happy, outgoing and ready for any adventure. Aries is currently living with other dogs and cats but they are losing their home. They have until September 1st to find Aries a home. He was originally from our local animal control and can be shy for just a second but once he knows you will be nice or if you have a treat then is all fun and games. He pulls greatly on leash so a fenced in yard would be best. You know Beagles and their noses. Has to smell everything! He did really well at the vet and is now had his first set of vaccines, is microchipped and neutered. If you are looking for a dog to give you entertainment look no further!
