She loves her chew toys, is crate trained and doing real good on potty training and after a day of play and walking, she snuggles up to nap. SHE is a good girl. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Poppy, please fill out the adoption application on our website. www.foreverhomedogs.org Her adoption fee is $300All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Story
This sweet looking girl is Josie. Josie knows no stranger and has done well with all the people she has been surrounded by since entering rescue. She does love to dart out the door behind you if you aren’t careful. With some ongoing training, consistency, and her learning to trust her new family we believe this will get better; until then it will be important to always take her out on a leash she can’t break free from. This girl loves to be outside to lay in the sun, roll in the grass or play with her foster siblings. She has been with a larger and a small dog and does well with both. She shares well and can be sneaky if one of them has something she wants and will very casually walk by and grab it, but never in a mean way. And she's ever so gentle in accepting treats. Josie knows sit and down. We have been working on no, off, and using her kennel as her safe space. She is getting there and continues to improve with each day. Obedience classes would be very helpful for her continued growth and confidence. Josie is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. Her adoption fee is $250 and covers all vetting. If you’re interested in learning more, please fill out an adoption application on our website, foreverhomedogs.org.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Story
Meet Lacey, our sweet 2-year-old beagle girl! Lacey came to us after spending her life as a breeding dog in a breeding facility, so the world outside of that is still very new to her. She is shy and timid at first, but every day she is learning what it means to just be a dog — and it has been so rewarding to watch her blossom. When Lacey first arrived, she kept her distance and was unsure of people. Now, she comes up to us on her own and even jumps up on the couch to sit beside us for cuddles and comfort. Those little moments feel huge for her and show how much progress she’s making. She absolutely loves other dogs and takes so much comfort in following their lead. Our dogs have been teaching her how to play, relax, and enjoy life. This morning she had the zoomies and was zipping around the house and yard, and it was impossible not to smile watching her confidence shine through.Lacey does great in a kennel overnight or when needed. She had a couple of accidents in her kennel during the first few nights while adjusting, but she has not had any accidents in the house. She is also good with cats and older kids. She has not been around younger children yet.Lacey will need a patient, understanding home that will continue helping her build trust at her own pace. Another friendly dog in the home would likely help her tremendously. Beneath her shy exterior is a very sweet girl who is learning that people can be kind and life can be fun.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. Story
5 1/2 months old puppy with Beagle traits. Still learning but very smart. Puppy pad trained. Already good on leash but may pull when he sees a rabbit. Very sweet baby, but we have several pets and I'm moving soon and can't take him with me. He does chase and bark at our cats at the moment, we are working on that. He'd love a fenced in yard to run and play in, I currently walk him on leash 2-3 times per day for about 15-20 minutes per walk. He's getting used to being in a crate for rest periods and overnight but will bark when first placed in crate. Prefer an experienced dog/ (previous Beagle owner would be awesome).

Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX
