Hi, My name is Max! I'm a beagle with a world-class nose. If you drop a snack, don't worry... I'll find it. If a squirrel was in your yard three days ago... I'll find that too. I'm kid-friendly, dog-friendly, kennel trained, and I'm almost finished with this whole potty training thing. Hey, nobody's perfect. I love walks, playing outside, sniffing absolutely everything, and investigating important Beagle business. If you like peace, quiet, and walking in a straight line... we may need to compromise. What I really want is a family to love me forever. I promise to keep you laughing, keep your yard thoroughly inspected, and remind you that every day is an adventure.

If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with 15-20 of our adoptable dogs and puppies there.
Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority and can usually take home your new best friend the same day!
*Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.*
**All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue in Mandeville, LA.
