Hi, I'm Darwin. I'm a bit of a shy guy at first, but give me a little time and I'll show you just how sweet I can be. I really thrive when I'm around other dogs; they make me feel confident and happy. I'm looking for a home where I can have a canine companion to play with. It's also important for me to have someone who's around a lot, as I love company. A home without kids would be best for me. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day! *Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.* **All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue.

Story
Lucille is 11 years old and was adopted from a local shelter 7 years ago. She is a very well behaved, gentle and calm, sweet girl with no behavioral problems. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids and loves interacting with people. She has been living indoors only and needs a well fenced in yard or very secure environment because beagles will chase a scent and not listen or comeback once loose. She is fixed, flea free and microchipped but is in need of a vet visit and to get up to date on shots and preventative care for heart worms because she is positive. At her age, Lucille is not a dog suitable for running around playing with toys or a high energy, loud atmosphere with a lot going on. However, if you are wanting an older dog that is more lax, and is satisfied lounging and sleeping the day away or someone to lay or sit by your side, that’s Lucille. We are relocating and she cannot come. Rehoming her is a tough decision so I am hoping the right person responds to her.

Maybelle is a sweet, friendly, playful girl. She loves to play with other dogs and loves her toys! She’s estimated to be 7 years old. She’s been vaccinated , dewormed, and spayed. She tested heartworm positive but is now on preventative. She has begun the slow kill protocol including 30 days of doxycycline (completed) and monthly advantage multi. She’s such a sweet girl!!! Ray is between 3 and 4 years old. He’s blind, but gets around very well. He’s neutered and vaccinated. He tested heartworm positive, but is now on preventative. He has begun the slow kill protocol treatment of one month of doxycycline (completed) and monthly Advantage multi. He has beagle buddies that he loves to play with.
