Story
Meet Dante Dante is not a cuddle bug—and she’s okay with that. She’s the kind of dog who needs time, patience, and space to feel safe. It can take months for Dante to become comfortable with new people and her new home, but once she does, she will thrive in the right environment.Important to know:Dante is an escape artist—even at her old age. She has escaped multiple times from her previous home and has even gotten loose while on walks. Because of this, a fully fenced, secure yard is absolutely required, and her adopter must be diligent with doors, gates, and leashes at all times. Dante’s ideal home:--Adult-only household--No other pets--Fully fenced, secure yard (required)--Calm, low-activity homeSomeone experienced, patient, and willing to let her move at her own paceDante does best in a quiet setting where there isn’t a lot of foot traffic or constant activity. She’s not looking for a busy social life—she’s looking for stability, routine, and understanding. If you’re someone who believes in giving a dog the time she needs to feel safe and doesn’t expect instant affection, Dante may be the perfect companion for you.

Cooper is approximately 4 years old, 42 lbs currently and he might have some Beagle/Hound in his mix! In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 5+, cats, and other calm dogs. His foster says, `Cooper is so sweet and easy going. He likes to be loved on. He does great with other animals. He prefers a more low key playmate. He will go on walks with you or just lay around and be a couch bum. He is happy doing whatever. This sweet boy will make a great addition to almost any family.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Story
Stacy dog has got it going on. She’s all you’ll want and she’s been waiting for so long! Stacy is a sweet beagle who spent the first part of her life living in a barn as a hunting dog. She is initially a bit shy, but once she warms up she is friendly. She does have bilateral luxating patellas. It will be important to keep her from getting overweight to avoid further stressing her patellas. She may benefit from physical therapy or possibly even surgery in the future. Due to her shy nature and her patellas, we recommend a more relaxed home. If you are interested in Stacy, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.

Story
Hi! I'm Dane, your future best friend. My days are filled with play and cuddles. I'm always ready for a game or a quiet evening by your side. My previous owner moved and left me to fend for myself, but luckily I was found and brought to the shelter where they are going to help me find my forever home. The shelter even treated my heartworms! I dream of a home where I can share all my love (and I have so much to give) and playful energy. Adopting me means endless fun and companionship. Let's start our adventure together!

Story
Beauford is a sweet, active, lemon and white beagle from Virginia. He's a little guy at about 25 lbs. He loves to play and to be outside for hours of the day (if you are looking for a quiet couch potato, he is not the dog for you). He would do best with a fenced in yard with room to sniff and sing. He loves people and attention and also does well with other dogs: his foster reports there is not an aggressive bone in his body. When it is time for bed, he will sleep through the night and is largely housetrained. When Beauford arrived we noticed that he had a lump on his butt. The mass has been surgically removed and biopsied and the prognosis is good for a healthy recovery. Vets have estimated Beauford's age at 5 - 8 yrs old. His foster reports that he is like a puppy at times and full of energy. He's a joyful little Beagle who will bring you companionship and laughs. Available for visits north of Boston near southern NH.
