Like many dogs, he prefers not to share his favorite high-value treats, but he`s happy to trade for something just as tasty. Because of this, he`s looking for a home without young children.Henry thrives on activity and is not the right fit for someone looking for a couch potato. Daily walks and plenty of opportunities to explore are a must. Meet DanteDante is not the type of dog who will immediately seek out cuddles or attention — and she’s perfectly okay with that. She is a very independent girl who needs time, patience, and space in order to feel safe and comfortable. It can take months for Dante to fully settle into a new home and build trust with new people, but once she does, she can truly thrive in the right environment, and start to show her affectionate side. One of the most important things to know about Dante is that she is an experienced escape artist, even at her older age. She has escaped from previous homes and has also managed to get loose while out on walks. Because of this, a fully fenced and secure yard is absolutely required, and her adopter must always be extremely diligent with doors, gates, harnesses, and leashes. Dante is not searching for a busy social life or a constantly active environment. What she truly wants is stability, routine, and a home where she can feel secure. For the right person, helping Dante learn to trust and watching her grow comfortable can be an incredibly rewarding experience.

I'm Waylon, a 7-year-old Beagle/Blue Tick hound seeking a new home. I'm a very laid back, chill boy! I love men and women equally and have lived with cats and dogs. I'm fine in playgroups and on walks. I slept in the bed with my human. I like to hang out on the sofa with you, love car rides and I jump in the car easily. I'm good in the car, calmly sit in the back seat. I love to go for a nice sniff walk. I do not like to be crated, please. I'm totally house-trained and an easy keeper. I'M ALSO GREAT WITH CATS! I went to the beach with my foster family and I did great. I went into the water a few times, wasn't afraid of the waves. Not a fan of rain, though. The fireworks didn't bother me. Amber has not had an easy life. This sweet girl was found in a field with 3 other dogs, along the Texas/Mexico border. The difference with her is – she was producing milk and had obvious puppies somewhere. To the devastation of all of us, we found out somebody had taken her puppies, and left Amber behind. Amber was heartbroken. She had tons of milk, was very motherly, and had no puppies to mother or take care of. You could see the heartbreak she had. Over time, Amber has overcome that tragedy, and has turned into the sweetest, most loving girl. Amber is approximately 4 years old and weighs 42 lbs, despite she could stand to lose a few lbs. She looks to be a beagle mix with her small body and shorter legs, but is not vocal like one. A fun quirk about Amber is if you go to pick her up, she rolls on her back and starts kicking out her little, stubby legs in excitement. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES human contact and belly rubs. Amber loves other dogs but would be fine in a home without them. She sleeps next to the catio and has no issues with cats! She is very laid back and just the sweetest girl. Amber absolutely loves everyone she meets. She is very submissive and very gentle. Amber is crate and house trained. When you baby talk Amber, she starts dancing around in excitement. SHE LOVES BEING BABY TALKED TOO. An ideal home for Amber is one that wants a cuddle buddy and is calmer. She loves being next to her human and relaxing more than anything else. Y’all…Butterscotch is sweet as pie and a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. But somehow, as cute as she is, her personality might be even better. She's the kind of dog that quietly works her way into your heart until one day you realize she's become your favorite little shadow. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a bit of a mystery, but one thing we know for sure is that Butterscotch is 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and absolutely loves being close to her humans. Her foster describes her as a big cuddler who's always nearby, following her around like a little shadow and even sleeping by her head every night. She has such a calm, comforting presence about her that it's easy to forget she's even there... until you look down and realize she's quietly been keeping you company the whole time. And when it comes to affection, this girl is all in. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she'll dramatically flop right over for them), booty scratches are a close second, and if you happen to have an empty lap, don't be surprised if she decides it's hers. Apparently, Butterscotch never got the memo that she's not actually a lap dog. While she's definitely a cuddle bug, she also enjoys getting outside and enjoying the fresh air. Her foster says they spend hours in the backyard together, where Butterscotch loves wandering around, soaking up the sunshine, and even taking the occasional dip in her little dog pool. Every evening she and a couple of the other foster dogs break out into zoomies together, happily chasing each other around before settling back down for the night. She isn't much of a toy dog, but hand her a good chew stick and she's perfectly content. Just don't be surprised if a squirrel runs by... suddenly this mellow little potato remembers she has some hunting dog mixed in there somewhere. Butterscotch has done wonderfully living with several other dogs of different ages and sizes and enjoys having canine companions around. She’s not the type that is looking for a 24/7 playmate in the home. She’s more looking for a companion that has her cool, calm, collected tempo. Not to say that she never plays because she does, it’s just in short bursts and when she’s feeling spry. Butterscotch would also do just as well soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Cats, however, are a little too exciting for her, so we'd recommend a cat-free home. One thing her foster wanted future adopters to know is that she may need a little time to fully decompress after going home. She took a couple of weeks before really settling into foster care, but once she did, she became the sweetest little shadow dog. We honestly think that makes the bond even more special because when Butterscotch decides you're her person, she's completely devoted. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment, although she'd absolutely love having a backyard to explore since being outside is one of her favorite things. Whether she's sunbathing, rolling around in the grass, quietly following you from room to room, or convincing you that one more belly rub is absolutely necessary, she's simply happiest being with her people.
