Meet DanteDante is not the type of dog who will immediately seek out cuddles or attention — and she’s perfectly okay with that. She is a very independent girl who needs time, patience, and space in order to feel safe and comfortable. It can take months for Dante to fully settle into a new home and build trust with new people, but once she does, she can truly thrive in the right environment, and start to show her affectionate side. One of the most important things to know about Dante is that she is an experienced escape artist, even at her older age. She has escaped from previous homes and has also managed to get loose while out on walks. Because of this, a fully fenced and secure yard is absolutely required, and her adopter must always be extremely diligent with doors, gates, harnesses, and leashes. Dante is not searching for a busy social life or a constantly active environment. What she truly wants is stability, routine, and a home where she can feel secure. For the right person, helping Dante learn to trust and watching her grow comfortable can be an incredibly rewarding experience.

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Indie! She is approximately 2 years old, 30 lbs currently, and she may have some hound in her mix! She was found as an emaciated mama with her litter of puppies, all of whom have found homes to call their own. Now it`s Indie`s turn! In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, crate training and leash walking. She could join households with other dogs and kids. She has not been exposed to cats.Her foster says, `Indie is a such a joy. She has the kindest little heart. She is very docile and compliant and eager to please yet her goofy personality will keep you smiling. She will flip over on her back to show she’s submitting to most anyone and any dogs then get up and prance around and do her happy dance. She’s so very loving and enjoys cuddling on the couch. She is perfectly crate trained and enjoys toys and treats. Indie absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive best in a house with another playful dog or multiple dogs. She plays very well with all sizes and ages and is very respectful to others boundaries Indie would be a great girl for any family at any age. She’s a happy go luck sweetheart that is truly just happy being alive. Her personality truly shines.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on August 14th. I'm Waylon, a 7-year-old Beagle/Blue Tick hound seeking a new home. I'm a very laid back, chill boy! I love men and women equally and have lived with cats and dogs. I'm fine in playgroups and on walks. I slept in the bed with my human. I like to hang out on the sofa with you, love car rides and I jump in the car easily. I'm good in the car, calmly sit in the back seat. I love to go for a nice sniff walk. I do not like to be crated, please. I'm totally house-trained and an easy keeper. I'M ALSO GREAT WITH CATS! I went to the beach with my foster family and I did great. I went into the water a few times, wasn't afraid of the waves. Not a fan of rain, though. The fireworks didn't bother me.
