Story
He ain't nothing but a hound dog… or maybe a beagle, bulldog, corgi, dachshund… honestly, Elvis is a mystery mix with one very clear identity: Certified Love Machine. Elvis is the perfect medium-sized companion — sturdy, snuggly, and packed with personality. Just like his namesake, he loves giving kisses and turns into one big wiggle when he’s excited (which is often). Elvis is incredibly affectionate and truly just wants to be with his people. He’s young but already potty trained and kennel trained, making him an easy addition to a home ready for a fun, loving companion. He’s working on leash walking and improving with practice. He enjoys toys and can entertain himself, but he also loves playing with his foster brothers — even though they’re twice his size. And when playtime is over? Elvis is a full-on couch potato who would happily snuggle up beside you for the rest of the evening. He does have a curious nature and would benefit from a secure, strong fence, as exploring the world is very much on his agenda. Elvis is not a fan of cats. He has done well with kids he's been introduced to at our meet & greet events. Elvis isn’t subtle. He’s love, laughter, and wiggles all rolled into one. 🏡 The Ideal Furever Home Elvis would thrive in a home that wants an affectionate, people-oriented dog who enjoys both playtime and downtime. A securely fenced yard is recommended to safely satisfy his curiosity and love of exploring. He’d do well with other friendly dogs and would love a home where he can be part of daily life — whether that’s play sessions, couch snuggles, or simply following his humans around. 🐾 The Elvis Breakdown Breed Type: Mystery mix (hound/beagle/bulldog/corgi/dachshund vibes) Energy Level: Playful with couch potato tendencies Dog Compatibility: Loves other dogs Cat Compatibility: No cats Kid Compatibility: Not tested Housetrained: Yes Kennel Trained: Yes Leash Skills: In progress Fence: Fenced yard recommended Favorite Hobby: Kissing and wiggling Signature Move: Full-body wiggle when excited Overall Vibe: Affectionate goofball with superstar charm Elvis is a male Basset Hound/Jack Russell Terrier/All American Rescue Dog (our best guess of breeds) who was was born approximately 10-1-24 and currently weighs 37 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested heartworm negative and given heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website.
