Story
I rescued Cobalt from a shelter who said he was 11 months old in spring 2021. He had some training when I got him, basically house trained but did mess the floor in transition and probably would again. I was hoping he would hunt for me but have found out that I'm not a dog lover. Issues have escalated and he will be at a shelter very soon if nobody takes him. He is a giant lap dog and loves his pets, scratches and snuggles way more than I like giving them. He demands attention but if you like giving it to him that probably won't be an issue. He'd love a larger property that we don't have, he's a digger so a fence alone would not confine him if he gets bored. He doesn't do well with other dogs, in particular little dogs and probably shouldn't be around small children. He's fine with older kids or teenagers. He comes with all his stuff as I won't be getting another dog.

Story
Meet Little Red — A Gentle, Loyal Companion Looking for a Calm, Quiet Home Little Red is a housebroken, cratetrained sweetheart who wants nothing more than a peaceful home, a soft couch, and a woman she can bond with deeply. She has always been a naturally shy, nervous, and sensitive dog, but once she trusts you, she becomes an incredibly loving, loyal lap dog who adores snuggles, treats, and quiet companionship. Her Personality Calm, quiet, and gentle Shy with new people, especially men Prefers women and bonds strongly with them Nervous in new situations (shakes, needs reassurance) Loves to cuddle and thinks she’s a lap dog Very affectionate once she knows you Protective in a sweet, loyal way Training & Skills Housebroken / Litter trained Crate trained Leash trained Knows several commands Listens extremely well Fetches and loves short walks Very welltrained overall She also loves sunbathing in the backyard, playing in water, car rides, napping on the couch, and being close to her person. She’s a simple girl with simple joys. What She Needs Little Red has always been a nervous dog, and while she has lived with a family, she is not suited for a home with children.  Little Red he needs a home that understands her sensitivity and can give her the calm, predictable environment she thrives in. Her Ideal Home Little Red will do best with: A single older woman or calm adult female adopter No children No other pets A quiet, lowstress home Someone who loves snuggling and being home often A patient person who will let her warm up at her own pace She can warm up to men with time, patience, and treats (she eventually adored her current owner’s husband), but she is most comfortable in a womanled home. Why She’s Worth It Once Little Red trusts you, she is the kind of dog who melts into your lap, follows you from room to room, and loves you with her whole heart. She is gentle, loyal, and incredibly sweet — she just needs the right environment to feel safe. She will be a devoted best friend to the right person who wants a calm companion to share the couch, the sunshine, and quiet evenings together. The suggested adoption donation for Little Red  is $ 350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for theirpet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. ##2755417##
