Story
Lincoln is a wonderful tricolor 1–2 year old hound boy. He was found roaming the streets for several days before rescuers were finally able to catch him. He can be nervous and shy in new situations and with new people, sometimes cowering when overwhelmed. However, once he settles in and gains confidence, his true personality shines — he becomes active, playful, and affectionate. Lincoln loves attention and will come running when he sees you. True to his hound nature, he’s also a big food lover. He gets along great with other dogs, enjoys running around and wrestling with the younger ones, and is very good with the dog door. Lincoln is an impressive climber and can scale fences and gates, so he will need a very secure yard. He absolutely loves toys and is especially fond of playing tug-of-war, keep-away, and fetch with his canine friends. He’s also obsessed with kiddie pools and goes in them daily during warm weather! Adoption fee is $325 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash.
