Cookie came through our rescue 4 years ago. She was Gretel then, but she knows her name Cookie by adopter, so we are keeping that name. She was returned because one of the owner's passed away and the other owner said she was more his dog and didn't want her. She is around 4-5 years of age now. She is a hound mix. She was 60 pounds. She was filled out but she has now dropped over ten pounds and is weighing around 53 pounds!! She looks great now. Hounds do like to run so a bigger yard would be preferable. She gets along great with others and is a real nice girl. She likes to play with others and toys. She does have a prey drive, although mild, caution should be taken with small dogs/cats. She is easily correctable. Who will give her a forever home? Adoption fee is 200 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.
