Story
Brewski is 3 and some change. His birthday is January 24 (national beer can day) and this is how he got his name Brewski. He is a very loving and cuddling dog and loves to give kisses. He has a lot of energy and LOVES to run around outside in the grass. I would like to find someone with a big back yard or someone who is active with runs, hikes, walking, etc. I think a family with young children and a yard would be the ideal spot for him! He is great with all other dogs and animals. Great around other people and kids. He will love them just as much as you. Very friendly, needs some extra attention and affection sometimes. Has never bit or showed aggression towards anything/anyone. He also will be attached to you and follow you everywhere. He is really a great dog and I wish I had the time and space for him. My situation has changed and I don’t want to rob him of a happy life. I’d love to stay in contact with whoever rehomes him and get pictures here and there.

Story
Dodger was recently surrendered to us from his family. They purchased him from a breeder as a puppy. They had him many years but then he became inconvenient when they decided to move. They gave him to their adult son and told him to "find him a new home". The son had big dogs who were bullying him and he did not know where to turn and so he came to us. We questioned about the cherry eyes. Cherry eye  a condition where the nictitating membrane's tear gland, located in the third eyelid, prolapses and becomes visible, resembling a cherry  for Dodger, both of his eyes are affected. We will look into the surgery his owner did not want to pay for. We also noticed an anal mass. When we questioned this, we were told, it started small but again, they did not want to pay for him to have it removed. I do not even know if it was evaluated but again, we will look into getting this done. Dodger acclimates fairly easy into a home. He likes toys and of course food. He is housetrained and learned a dog door rather quickly. Dodger is a senior. Adoption fee is 125 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. Story
A28592 Oakley is a brown with white colored, approximately 6-year-old, 63-pound, spayed female, Beagle mix. She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 06-12-2025 due to the fact she gets separation anxiety, and they feel she needs a home with a stay-at-home human. Oakley is a friendly, excited and easy to handle girl here at the shelter. Our staff describe her as a friendly, sweet girl who loves to go on walks and get attention from people. They say she is a talker and will bark at you for attention. When you are out with her, she will melt at your feet for all the love and affection you will give. She will be a great family dog as all she wants to do is play and go for walks. Staff says she will need a family that can help get her energy out. She was easy to leash but is a hard puller and will need manners training on the leash. She will also need some command training as she did not respond to any commands. She shows a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter. When in the play yard she sat with her nose on the fence and happy tail wag just watching the dog in the other yard. The previous owner says she is house broken and has lived with other dogs and cats, but not children. Oakley will be a loyal, fun-loving family member her new forever home.

Stormy is a 6 month old lovebug who might be a Cheagle - Chihuahua/Beagle - whatever mix she is, she is a cutie! This fun and friendly girl loves to play, both with toys and other dogs. She is still perfecting her potty training but doing well, a consistent environment and she will have it down in no time. Stormy was born around the end of December and currently weighs 14 lbs, we would guess her adult size to be up to 20 lbs. Please send in an application at www.waggingtailsrescue.org

Story
George is a nice active boy. Him and Mary came in together and do appear to be a bonded pair. They were surrendered to a local shelter (due to moving) and we pulled them out. They are true beagles investigating all the new smells and anxious for any food they come across. They are nice dogs who love attention and to get going. Now they are looking for a home together. George being just slightly bigger than Mary.   Adoption fee is 425 for the bonded pair, which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue.
