Story
Poor Sammy has not had an easy life. She recently made the local news when her dad decided to lock her in a hot car in the middle of July. It's a miracle she even survived the 45 minutes of torture. Sammy's dad was arrested for animal cruelty and she was surrendered to our rescue. Although this little granny is 13 years old and in the sunset years of her life, she is an absolute baby. She loves attention, has plenty of pep in her step and is extremely grateful to be in her foster home. Sammy is human and dog friendly and has the sweetest soul we've ever seen. Please give Sammy another shot at happiness.

Story
Gold is a very sweet and loving girl and loves attention from people. She had FHO surgery on her leg. She is not that long post op, so she might limp a bit here and there, but it is healed. She came to us through our rescue partners in the south where she was found with an injury. We believe her age is between 2-4 yrs of age.  Gold is playful and loves to play with other dogs and dog toys. She will require another dog in the home. She walks well on leash with a harness as she is strong. Gold still gets excited and tends to dart for the door, so we highly suggest dog gates at the doors of the home. Gold has only jumped on the couch a few times and has not been around stairs so we are still unsure if she will do well with a 2-story home. She has not been cat tested or dog door tested. We have noted she has slight separation anxiety, therefore she will need a family that is home more, although she does well in a crate for a few hours. Adoption fee is $300 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                           We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.         Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. Story
Crew was in our rescue the end off 2022. At the time, we felt he was overweight and had gotten him down to about 43lbs. He was adopted 5 months ago and was recently returned when the adopter's schedule changed and they did not feel they could have him any longer. Unfortunately, they did not keep Crew on a diet and sadly, let him gain much more weight. All this does is shorten a dog's life span. He is now back on a diet and he is not a begger and does love the park and to move. Clearly, he was overfed. He is a happy affectionate dog that would like to be an active dog. He needs a family that will actually be dedicated to helping him lose weight and keeping him on a good quality food and getting him back to healthy. He is thought to be around 6 yrs. He will need another playful dog in the house already. He will not do well as an only dog.  Adoption fee is $275. which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. Story
Gunner was in our rescue at the age of one and was adopted. Now 10 years later, he was returned. We will always take our dogs back, but it saddens us also that they did not want to see him to the end. Gunner was returned because he is now blind. He was falling in the pool and starting to have accidents. We are very suspicious of glaucoma as the root of his blindness. Glaucoma is a painful disease, especially if untreated. We have appointments with the regular vet for an overall assessment as well as the eye doctor. Unfortunately, it takes time to get in. We try to evaluate on our own and care for him.  We are looking for a FOREVER FOSTER if we can not find an adoptive family. That would mean we would take care of the financial and you would take care of him and love him. For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . Story
Flopsy is a red beagle. He is a little older at around 10 yrs of age. He is a big boy and currently is on a diet. He does need a family that will stick to this as the extra weight will just affect his overall health and longevity. Flopsy was used as a hunting dog and in horrible condition. He and another were taken to a flea market by the hunter who made it known, he would just shoot them at the end of day if no one bought them. Our rescue partner in the South stepped in to save them. Flopsy did have to be treated for heartworms and parasites. Now he just needs a family to call his own that will love him and care for him.  Adoption fee is $150 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue.
