Story
Crew was in our rescue the end off 2022. At the time, we felt he was overweight and had gotten him down to about 43lbs. He was adopted 5 months ago and was recently returned when the adopter's schedule changed and they did not feel they could have him any longer. Unfortunately, they did not keep Crew on a diet and sadly, let him gain much more weight. All this does is shorten a dog's life span. He is now back on a diet and he is not a begger and does love the park and to move. Clearly, he was overfed. He is a happy affectionate dog that would like to be an active dog. He needs a family that will actually be dedicated to helping him lose weight and keeping him on a good quality food and getting him back to healthy. He is thought to be around 6 yrs. He will need another playful dog in the house already. He will not do well as an only dog. Adoption fee is $275. which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.
