Story
Cornell is affectionate, playful, charming, and blind. You would never know he is visually impaired as he joins in the pack for play, goes in and out with no assistance, and easily finds his crate. This adorable little Beagle is adaptable to any situation. One of his greatest joys is sitting on a lap being loved on. Cornell is an easy to please, low maintenance boy. He’s not a barker, not a chewer, is good in his crate, is house trained and cat friendly. You will never find more love than that of a blind dog since blind dogs see with their hearts.

Story
Very calm and nice dog. We are empty nesters and unfortunately Milo needs campanionship. He is good with other pets especially dogs and kids. Happy fellow. It sincerely hurts to let him go, however we are seldomly around and we've noticed his sadness since our 4 kids have grown and left. Our work just doesnt allow us to give him the attention he needs. Does have an electric fence and coller which we'd include ... if desired.

Story
Rosco is a very adorable 6 year old pure bread beagle that still looks like a puppy. He is energetic and great with children although he can become protective of them overtime. He gets along with cats and other dogs. Rosco would thrive in a home that can provide training as he is an anxious dog but also loves to chill in the sunshine and a comfy chair. He takes a little time to warm up to new people but once he trusts you he’s your best friend. He struggles on a lease and barks a lot as most beagles do. He would really do well in a home with structure and training and following through with rules. He’s looking for his forever home. We love him so much that we would be willing to take him if you needed to travel for short stints.

Story
Bess is a 7 year old spayed female Beagle/Bulldog Mix. Bess weighs about 50 lbs. She is good natured and sweet. She is housebroken, crate trained, good on a leash and good with other dogs.  She is currently in a foster home. Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here. The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $300 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If you are interested in any of the Rescue dogs, please email us. Do not call the Shelter regarding rescue animals - they have no information about these dogs. All rescue animals are in foster homes with volunteers - NOT at the Shelter - unless otherwise noted.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $60 fee for any animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.April 27, 2024, 7:33 am
